Most of the Turkish restaurants (there are of course a few exceptions) outside of Turkey are really bad examples of Turkish food, because they dont focus on authenticity and the ingredients. We have the same situation here in the Netherlands. That's why I'm making my own. Thanks for watching my friend!

Wonderful video! Looks just like the shish kabobs in istanbul... I was wondering, did you add any salt?

I'm drooling already!! 😍🤤🤤🤤 Quick question :Are we free to use any type of vinegar? Or is there anything specific you'd recommend?
@HungryManKitchen3 жыл бұрын
You can use any winegar, it doesn't really impact the flavor, it's just to further tenderize the lamb in the marinade.
@rubyhussini5833 жыл бұрын
Wonderful recipe 😋 Questions 1.What type of vinegar did you use? 2. Did you add any salt?
@HungryManKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. 1. I've used red wine vinegar, but any vinegar is ok, we need it for the acidity to tenderize the meat 2. There is no salt in the marinade, you need to season it before seasoning Let me know if you have further questions 😊

This is a great recipe and my go to when ever I'm grilling lamb. What can be used to tenderise beef cuts (like round, thigh etc). I don't like papaya or meat tenderiser powders as they leave a mushy texture on the surface. May be you should do one for beef now. Long overdue. Thanks
@HungryManKitchen Жыл бұрын
Beef is on my list before this summer. We usually use onions, milk and olive oil to tenderize the beef as well.
@lalkurti Жыл бұрын
@HungryManKitchen i tried exact same marinade with beef (Thigh cut also called Round). It didn't work. Meat came out quite tough.
@Pseudonym-No32 жыл бұрын
I’m just preparing the marinade and wonder if there should be any salt in it?
@HungryManKitchen2 жыл бұрын
You can add some salt, but add it later maybe 30 minutes before grilling. Just for this recipe I prefer adding it during or after grilling as the meat stays more tender this way.
@msstar71092 жыл бұрын
Can I use yoghurt instead of milk 😮why you add this also can I cook it in the oven if no bbq
@HungryManKitchen2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can but milk works better. Yogurt works better with chickwn. The lactic acid in milk tenderizes the meat. You can make this in the oven.
