How to make the 'Retiaz'' stitch/Ukrainian hand embroidery

This is a tutorial on how to make an original Ukrainian embroidery stitch called 'Retiaz''. Retiaz' was quite popular in Ukraine centuries ago and we bring it back to life nowadays. That stitch is comonly found on Ukrainian embroidered shirts. In this video I use samples of a replica of Borshchivs'ka woman's shirt which I have embroidered under the supervision of Anna Rohatyns'ka, a supervisor from "Magda Dzvin" embroidery studio based in Lviv, Ukraine.
