By the way, we haven’t seen printed phone books in India for more than a decade…but we do get newspaper even now and use those to dry clay :-) Regards.

I use 1/4inch Luane plywood which is too thin to crack the tile if it were to warp, in fact the tile keeps it flat. I use epoxy glue which sets in 5 minutes and also PL construction adhesive which sets in 24 hours. I also add a small square of Luane on the back which allows me to screw a D hook on to hang from. I will show the back in the next video.

I have made tiled artwork and I am struggling with how to hang them because of their weight. I have tried thinner backboard but that wants to warp after glueing the tiles on. Thank you! Thanks for another informative and creative video. Q: When you bisque fire the frames, are they stacked in any way, or are they single layer as in the glaze firing? I know you said to weight the corners, but can frames of similar dimension be stacked together in layers and weighted to stay flat? Cheers.

Yes I stack as long as they are totally flat, 3 high.
