Dear Foodie Nation, many thanks for this recipe. I’m the caregiver for my mum who has late stage Alzheimer’s. She’s in hospice care now and having a hard time eating solids so I’ve been making soups. I’ve been trying to make as many soft, creamy, nutritious foods that she can easily eat. This broff is a winner. It’s chock full of nutrients and delicious. And I’d like to think that it reminds her of her home in Trinidad. We live in NYC and it hurts my heart so much that she will never see her home again. Your recipes bring a little home to her. I never comment on videos, but wanted to thank you for bringing a little joy to my mom as she nears the end. 🙏🏽 ❤️🙏🏽

I do mine a bit different as i start with my fish and seasoning once it flavours the liquid i remove the fish and add the slowest to the fastest to boil put my pepper which i squeeze to the side once swollen. 3rd to last thing i add is the golden ray , 2nd to last is lime, and last is the final salt to finish.

Finally tried this recipe. It was awesome. I did however use salmon fillet, that's how I usually buy it and added some salmon bone broth that I usually make from the head and bones of the salmon. No salt butter though . I sauted the seasoning with kerrygold/olive oil. Was very, very careful not to cook the fish too long. I was very pleased with it. I think it was cooking the veggies first and not adding them all at once. Will certainly make again with King fish. Thanks for a great recipe.

Woi boy da recipe healthy boy. And a nice way of timing the broff 😋😋😋😋 lovely I came across a KZbin video yesterday of a Trini Indian woman calling Black People the N-word because she didn’t like the idea of a TV programme containing Black People being aired on a predominantly ‘Indian’ channel. As a Black Woman I was astound by the fervour and vigour of her rebuke of the Afro race, even to the point of calling the radio presenter she called and complained to the N-word. That said, I have watched your cooking channel several times and I’m pleased to say that it gives me a little bit more hope that we can all get along. It shows me that our differences are not what defines us, but our sharing and appreciation of those differences are what make us stronger. So simply, Thank You and carry on. Bless.

Feesh braff. This is what my ears heard when I was growing up. Now that I am much older, ( much), I have put 2 and 2 together. No aspersions, but that is how the fishermen from up the islands ( not down), would have pronounced broth. Places like the Grenadines; Cariacou, Bequia pronounce the 'o' in broth like an 'a'.

Pronouncing th as f occurs in some English dialects such as Cockney and some parts of London and some parts of Scotland. Trinidad and Tobago was a British colony and so inherited the dialect from them. It's not wrong.
