I worked in Atlanta with a lady from Trinidad who made this for a Christmas party. She was kind enough to give me a decorative tin containing all the ingredients. I remember star anise, cloves, and cinnamon for spice. I lost the recipe unfortunately. I "think" I remember a bay leaf or two, possibly ginger, and possibly some allspice berry. I wish I could find that recipe! You recipe is as close to my memory that I can find on You Tube. Can't wait to try it! Thanks

Lmaooooooo I taught that wasn’t enough water ! I say yuh makin porridge. Nah once d water boil yuh add d ingredients and shut it off and sit for 12 hours so it can fully draw . Sylvia Hunt teach me!!!
