I'm so glad that they labeled the Shin Ramyun and Kimchi ones als "vegan" in Germany. I always eat those!!

Yummy!! Thank you so much for showing us exactly how to make tteokbokki!! I imagine the flavor and texture when I watch other youtubers eat tteokbokki and now...I'm gonna get the ingredients and follow your instructions!! As a vegan, I'm always looking for traditional recipes "veganized" and I'm so appreciative of you!!! Also, Neiman along with your tteokbokki has stolen the show!!!! LOL!!! I love him!!! ox

Hahahaha this is the way my aunt makes it for me, only with sugar instead of maple syrup. I added the ramen broth 👌👌👌

The food you cook always looks absolutely delicious. I enjoy learning about the background or history of each dish. But I won't lie I've been pretty intimidated about making this particular dish as well as Japchae. But you make it seem like I can actually make this and it taste good. I like that though.

When I’m extra hungry and lazy, I’ve sometimes cooked two ramyun packets with just one soup base sachet, finally have a use for the extras! Thanks for this can’t wait to make tteokbokki 😍

If regular tteokbokki is too spicy for someone can you just reduce the gochujang and the gochugaru amounts, or do you then have to add something else to replace the lost flavors that come with the chili?

I know its really off topic but you look soo gorgeous❤ The boiling tteokboki literally made me salivate so i made some for myself and holy cow it hits every freaking time!!! Couldnt really use toothpicks cause i devourved the bowl with forks. Isnt there a street food version where the rice cakes are fried on a toothpick?? Correct me if im wrong. Love the content,cant wait for the new cookbook and new podcast guest❤

They make milder versions. You may have to look at the ingredients and decide if it would aggrivate your bowls. Not all asian food hotter than lava.

Ketchup tteokbokki is good, too. I've eaten it at a stand close to a Korean primary school. Many kids prefer this slightly sweet version since they cannot handle the heat of the normal version (yet).

does anyone know where i can buy ramyen powder? i loved those noodles but i found out i cant tolerate gluten, so not only am i upset about not being able to eat delicious noodles anymore (yeah i know they also make other types of noodles but the instant ones are not as good, and the good ones dont have powder) i also cant even get the flavor of my favorite noodles....

I tried some from a local asian market, and I can't recommend ttebbokki enough. I tried it because Doobydobap had a period of posting a lot of it. Your channel has gotten me a lot more into korean food too. Not a vegan or vegetarian but as much as I eat trying to cut out some calories and fat. Still love a good steak or chicken or pork.

I use ssamjang in some of my recipes that calls for gochujang. Cuts the heat a bit. I think it’s vegan.
