Great looking wheel and the rubber tire I am sure is a great improvement over a steel band. You should sell these. I am sure some people out there may have a use. Also, they make screw on extensions for the air valves for semi truck tires. These can go from 1 inch to 4 inches. Then you can make the valve hole smaller. Keep up the great work.

Yeah very good workmanship. +1 on the valve extensions, was thinking the same.

Actually that sort of bearing was used for many years in the railway business, at least in the states. They had a pad and a box for extra oil, but basically just an upside-down U with a pipe in it.

Adult tricycle rear wheels are designed to be supported on one side. The hubs can be ordered and you then have to build it in to a wheel. But with ll your tools, resources, and abilities what you made is quite amazing.

The axel on a bike wheel is typically 8mm while the bore for it is usually 10mm. I know it's only an extra 2mm but some times it is enough. It is certainly enough for a 4 wheeled vehicle that carries my obese, 150kg butt places. Well... The whole of me is 150kg, not just my butt. The real problem comes with the bearings.
