Thank you for this, I have been racking my brain for a long time on how these packaged poundo companies do their yam flour without it turning to amala. Never knew it was a simple five minutes hot water process. Thank you for this knowledge. God bless you.

Thank you for your preservation way to enjoy yam and pounded yam . It can be kept for many years when it is dried. You can also use it to make yam porridge and fried yam like chips as well as flour yam for fufu. Thank you well done ✅👍😊. Now yam will not be rotting and wasted anymore in the market. If they are not sold in tuba quickly they can be peeled, and dried for yam flour for the future.. A very good idea for yam preservation stopping wastage thank you 😊❤

Some of us just don't like to appreciate other people's efforts. How can it be amala when she has perboiled it in hot water before drying? Also, someone said its not the powder she made that she cooked. Can it not be that she did not make the video the same day and she cooked the one she already made before? Pls make it the way she did and if it did not turn out as pondo yam then you can come out and talk. Pls, let's learn to not be negative every time

They would have asked her to keep her audience on KZbin for 10hours to till the yam dries to be sure 😃😃😄😄

From your comment, I get the gist of the discuss/argument. Well, as one that's versatile in native cuisines, I must say that to make yam flour for Amala..the yams are per-boiled before drying, just as she did in the video. The only difference is that the yams are left in the hot water till the next day to ferment. Kudos to Rozy's Kitchen. I only wished I had a dehydrator/dryer.
