Wow...so that is how they do it by pitching down the melody! 2021 I am making a goal of getting more professional sounding software. I think FL studio sounds good but I tend to like more stuff from logic. Many of my beats went viral from garage band but when I go to professional producers they tell me I should still learn logic or FL studio

Do you have any videos on working with midi bass lines ? I watch your videos on 808 bass lines, which have been really useful, but when it comes to making tracks that use midi bass guitar or like DX7 sound FM bass type sounds, i struggle to get these to sound good and full in my mix. Thanks :)

Go online downlod various drum packs. After grouping all the drums together. Go thru and find only the best soundingones, hardest cleanest kicks etc. then find a video on how to put these chosen samples into logic exs24 sampler for playing them. Then just use some compression and even layer 2-3 kicks together of different pitch and type of kick. U can get creative with it but ideally just a round bumping kick with a hard knocking tight kick. The 2 will give u a nice hard result. U can add compressors on both with slughtly opposite attack and release times according to which type fits either. The fast attack for the knocking kick and the longer attack for the bumping kick.. then u can bump some eq and carve space out so their not hitting in the same place but fit togeter on the eq spectrum, and def not interfering with the 808s sweet spot frequency. Finally with these compressed and layered kicks...bounce them to audio files when the individual kicks soumd nice together.... before adding them to the bass, assign them both to a bus(both to the same bus.) and put a compressor on the aux of this bus. Make this compressor have about 4db of compression and bump the make up volume about 4db u, make it have a fast attack and pretty quick release. Lastly on your 808 channel, add another compressor, and set this compressors “sidechain”(in the top right corner of the compressor) to the bus you sent the kicks to. The attack and release on this 808 compressor u can experiment with. But now you’ll be closer than ever to having hard hitting kicks that fit with and around the 808 bass as good as u can get it almost. Also on bass make sure u not only compress, but use overdrive plugin with low amount of drive and the frequency set around 100-200. And add some “distortion II” plugin. Bump the tone, set the pre gain about 2/3 up. And adjust the drive accordingly. U can use subbass plugin to add some weight too. And if u wanted u can even duplicate ur kicks and bass lines into 2 more tracks beliw the main track of them.... and on each kf the duplcated tracks lower the volume a bit and layer them all. Panning the bottom two tracks of each one to the left, one to the right, and leave the main one in the middle... will give a nice wide full sound.
