This was super fun to make and I hope it was super fun to watch! :D
Definitely one of those Video Ideas I had in the middle of the night. I wrote it down on my notes and here we are. :)

Thanks for this video. I just found out "Cascades" datapack, which mixes beta 1.7 and 1.18 generation. Now i really found what i wanted, and your video really brings backs memory's of old minecraft and old building style.

Why do you think it looks souless to texture? I think texturing shows that the builder loves the build so much that they are willing to put in a lot of effort into it. :) Just my opinion though, you can have a different one...

@@Nettom_Minecraft Because everyone does it nowadays. The building style has become really uniform and dull, if you look around KZbin every single KZbinr builds like that. Not to mention the fact that stuff like coral or concrete powder makes absolutely no sense as a building material statics wise. All buildings in real life are built from one material as well. And if you can't make beautiful builds without using 30 different blocks for one wall, maybe you just suck at building.

@@mr.zimbel3164 you are not wrong i myself rarely do texturing, even if i do it was just simple noise texture with less contrast and sensical blocks like how we can put andesite and stone or stone and cobblestone where both intended for natural or structural builds i hate using dead coral too because it doesnt makes sense

Tip: terraforming Try making the terrain more like beta 1.7.3 by: -Removing all grass and flowers from some spots to simulate the "shrubland" which is a beta 1.7.3 boime that had no grass and also a few trees -make beaches only 3 blocks tall (63-65Y) -try making the hills around your base taller and add cliffs overhangs to them (and some trees on top of them) -if there's a forest around your base cut it into 3 parts 1st part: Remove all birch trees to simulate the "seasonal forest" boime 2nd part: Add more big oak trees tro simulate the "rain forest" boime 3rd part: keep it the same That's everything ,i was trying to make my minecraft world nostalgic and there's some tips i learning:]

I don't build in beta and use all the possibilities of newer versions (and still want more), but I always use Programmer Art and texture packs for the new textures. I just like them more most of the time.

I really wish some of the mods you recommended were for mcpe, but AMAZING video either way! I will be using some of these tips. Also, your voice sounds like a mix of owiebrainhurts and old chipflakes voice. A mix of comical and formal. Love it!

Thank you for the tip, I will try it out next time! :) I still haven't really figured out where the best position for it is. I am working with a gaming headset, so the mic is adjustable, though I feel like if I put my mic where the producer intended, it just sounds terrible. :'D I found out that it is best when I sort of breathe over the mic, but I can't get it always right. I'll do my test recording, and everything sounds fine. No weird breathing noises. And I record my scripts, and it just... you know. It does what it wants. Funny thing, I *might* get a better mic on my birthday, which is in October. :D

I love it too! Do you prefer old Minecraft over the new game, or do you have a preference? Or is it just sort of like: I love Minecraft in all its versions and stages? To me, I love minecraft in all its stages and Versions, but there is definitely something about the older Versions that the new game can't really replicate. :D

I started playing on 1.6.4 and stopped at 1.9. After many years I started again, but on 1.12.2 on a server with friends. I told them: "Either we pick a vanilla new versions or old with mods". They replied that they would pick an old version. I thought: "Great, I can still remember 1.7.4!". And then they picked 1.12.2, which is very new to me. I'm yet confused with vanilla and there's many mods as extra... XD What about your question... I prefer versions between 1.6.4 and 1.10. I also tried very old versions, and they were kinda fun. I think that after years of growing any game would lose its simplicity, which many players like in older versions. It's just nostalgia makes them want to stick with older versions and reject modern versions with a lot of content. For me, if I would move to 1.20 (or which version is the latest?) it would be a brainstorming for me. Like if I'm playing Minecraft 2.0 (I wonder why how long this will go until they will stop updating it)

I can't remember exactly when I started playing, but I think it was around 2013. In my head, there are two versions of minecraft: The Old Minecraft. (Everything before 1.13, the crazy ocean update) And the New Minecraft. (1.13 and up.) To me, the 1.13 update was the first time that I wasn't super excited for an update. Maybe sad even. I remember thinking: "What if minecraft doesn't feel like minecraft anymore?" I had a hard time accepting that the game just changes with time. I don't know what that happened exactly when 1.13 came out, but I assume it was just the fact that the update was the biggest at that point and didn't have that simple feel anymore. I like the new game aswell ofcourse but just for different reasons. When I want a simple and chill experience, I'll go with the old minecraft. When I want to build with tons of blockpallets and build massive structures, I'll use the new minecraft. The interesting thing is that I really haven't ACTUALLY played the new versions. I mean, yes, I made some worlds and builds here and there, but not anything on a big scale. I'd love to play the newer versions sometime. I might even make a new letsplay series when I finish my beta let's play. :D
