I’ve just bought the 4th Gen battery base. Can I keep my echo dot on the battery base even when I’m not using it as a portable, or do I only put it on the battery base when I want to use it as a portable? I’m asking this because someone told me if I keep it on the base all the time I’ll be draining the battery life.

I'm not sure what you mean, exactly. You can have the Mission Battery base charging while you also have the Echo being powered.

obvious right? if it is battery based you will want to turn it on when you want to use it and turn it off afterwards.
