Amazing tip!! Absolute beginner here. Still have some yarn that I've got before knowing how important the yarn size is. It's way too thin to use for my next few projects. Now it's not wasted 😊

I used two balls of yarn and struggled along until I ACCIDENTALLY came upon your video. Whaaaawww that was super interesting. STRUGGLE NO MORE. I was using this method for knitting but a talented Lady had to appear from nowhere to guide me. Thanks for sharing and caring. 😀😀😀💕👍👍👍

Wow! Brilliant! Thank you! I bought some thin yarn because it had sparkles in it and I know someone who would just really like that, but it's so thin I wasn't sure how I could make a nice hat with it. This technique is so wonderful!

Thank you for this video. Now I have several techniques with worsted weight yarn. What would help loomers, is seeing patterns with this technique.

Thank you soooooo much for sharing! This may be a money saver. I bought Lion Brand “Shawl in a Ball” which is listed as a #4 weight to make a hat and scarf for my future daughter-in -law and when it arrived, I found it to be more of a sock yarn....more like a #2......hopefully I won’t need to buy another skein since I bought an extra one and have 3 skeins of 481 yards! The yarn is a super soft metallic ombré yarn and I just love it (I actually bought 3 skeins of 2 different colors so I could make myself a hat and scarf too. Hopefully I’ll have enough for both of us & both projects, as well. This definitely saves me from having to return my new favorite yarn!!

Will give it a try. I normally spin multiple yarns together to make the thickness I require as thin coned yarns besides having a lot of yardage are quite cheap to buy. Kindest regards

This is a great tip! It will be so much easier to use up my thinner yarn. I have lots and lots of #4 weight yarn but not a lot of chunky and thicker. It will be so nice not to struggle with two balls of yarn any longer. Is this tip also applicable for the thinner yarns such as DK, etc.? It would seem that perhaps 3 strands should be used of #3 weight yarn. What do you advise? Thank you! 🙂🧶🧶🧶🙃

Yes, you may use this technique for thin or light yarns, such as DK. I use this technique for sizes 2, 3, even 4! Hope that helps!

The icords I've seen look like bulky braids, for lack of better word. What do you loom knit with icord?

This may be helpful to someone who knows what the heck you're doing.... But to me. I'm confused... Where's the chunky yarn?
@bethmccabe44936 жыл бұрын
The triple thin becomes 1 chunky. It's basically like running 3 skeins at same time without all the tangle. Quite brilliant really!
