Thanks for all the information. I'm a crochet addict. I've been crocheting since I was 6 years old. So when my hands started hurting, I decided to try looming. I'm a fairly new loom knitter, only 2 years. I've been watching your channel ever since. You have helped me alot. I own almost every loom, I can afford, (bought them on sale or with coupons, LOL) and have try them all, but I always go back to my nifty knitter set. Thanks for being such a good teacher. Keep answering those pesky, seemingly dumb questions., please. You're great help to us newbies.

I think you are on to something with your "Tell you Tuesday" segment. I enjoyed this information, format, visuals and the "encouragement" we are limited by our own imaginations. Looking forward to more of these!

I spent all last week knitting up different swatches. I've been loom knitting for about 6 months now and I wish I had done this when I first started. I've learned a lot from the swatches I've made.

The Google algorithms provided me your video, and you now have my subscription! I wanted to get my 10-year-old a knitting loom kit for Christmas because she's shown a lot of interest in finger knitting since I bought yarn for a Halloween project. I had already picked out a loom kit, and came looking for a yarn. Your video is simple, well explained with examples, and very much appreciated. I'm hoping there's a lot we can learn from your channel as we begin our knitting journey. Thank you!

Welcome to the family and thank YOU for your kind words, I really appreciate it. I think it’s super AWESOME that your 10 year old is learning to loom knit. I recommend starting with a basic hat and then a simple cowl. Kids love the Tiny Kitty and the Comfort Dolls patterns.

I cannot thank you enough for making this video!!!! I know a lot of this probably seems like common sense but especially for someone like me whose only made a few items. I even went out and bought expensive new looms and yarn in all worsts just because I didn’t realize or even think to do a swatch. Also know I know why some of my hats didn’t turn out like I hoped or as pictured. I cannot wait do keep learning and getting more into this hobby and I feel a lot let’s stressed out knowing I can test things out instead of making a brim and getting an hour into the hat and going ohh no.. something isn’t right. Question for you, I did a spiral pattern hat in a “bulky”41 peg yellow loom. It’s the first time I used it and the hat is huge and falls down my face. I used weight 5 yarn. Now I am currently doing your Chinese wave pattern on the same loom but tighter tension and double strand of worst yarn. I am so nervous I am spending all this time using this extra large loom and the hat is going to be to big again. Is everything I make on the 41 peg loom going to be as big? Or the thicker the yarn the smaller the hat will be? Or is it a stitch different too?

Thank you that was so informative - I've wondered why my loom creations seem so big - I use the e wrap stitch - I'm going to try other stitches now! 😄 Thank you

This is awesome Denise, I'm so glad you found a way to work the chats into helpful and informative question answering videos. I always love techniques and suggestions. You make the information easier to follow for all levels of looming. Sometimes I need a bit more time between new project videos to finish a WIP, so these videos are the perfect Denise fix LOL. I'm addicted, that's all there is to say.

As a man trying to get a loom for his grandaughter. I understand wat you say, BUT all i want to know is can you use any thick wool, and then think of stitch style
@LoomaHat Жыл бұрын
Yes you can use thick wool. But stitches will look different if you use thick and the designer did not. ... In the meantime, here's an easy hat with thick wool kzbin.info/www/bejne/hH3banWvZtNpeKc

Question! have a bunch of light weight either 4 or 5. It’s definitely not chunky. I’m making beanies. I noticed large spaces between e stitches… should I e stich 2 or three rows at a time to make it tighter? Or purl stitch? Any info would be would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi - your best bet is to find a complete hat pattern that uses that yarn weight. Example kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIOwYXtsrKetn9U

Hi Denise, can I double strand a light 3 worsted weight on the knifty knitters looms although it recommends 5 bulky?
@LoomaHat11 ай бұрын
I've unsed EVERY weight with my knitty knitter. It all depends on the design of the project

Hi, Denise. It's Bruna from Brazil again. I know that you said the best is to learn and testing yarns, but 3 times I tried to make a sock and all times the sock did not fit well. What kind of yarn did you recommend for a slipper sock? I tried with yarn needles 12 to 15 but the sock was too tight. I also tried with yarn needles 6 to 8 but does not work too, the knitting stitch became very loose. I realy want to make at least one sock successfull :(

I am fairly new to knitting but when I did mine I made a small cuff then did a few stitches and started on the heel and I just went from there to the very end and it worked very well! I used the ewrap and the 24 peg loom I hope this helps!!
