Handy tip that I've found when making seams like this on hats. If you're using the recommended thickness or leather, you'll want about 3.5* the length of the seam you're stitching, plus a bit extra for tails and needle length.

Made two so far. The first one had a problem with the bladder getting glued correctly. When i pumped it up, the vavle stem dissappered. I guess the glue migrated off of the pael where i had put the hole for the vavle stem. When i made my second ball, i glued the the bladded to the panel before starting any stiching. (Blue painters tape protected the edges of the panel and careful stiching worked) my second ball turned out wonderful.

Question: in another great video by you I’ve seen your attempt at a ‘single panel’ ball. And you mentioned it is one of those holy grail things that nobody managed yet. Can you elaborate a little? Why is it such a challenge? If the panel doesn’t have to be economically viable then it somehow seems it shouldn’t be too hard to achieve (famous last words). Please enlighten me a little bit. Great content! Love the artistry and vibe of all of these videos.
