The combustion engine can be used by pumping strawberry frosting into the side of it and using a crank to start it. Just it may not work on forge because of a bug or something.

So prop planes irl have this reaction to torque from the rotation of the propellers. It tends to veer to one side or the other depending on direction of rotation. This is why vertical stabilisation and yaw control (also known as rudders) are very crucial to have on a single engine prop aircraft. What you were experiencing during takeoff was because you did not have yaw control surfaces/rudders. A fun thing to note is that vertical stabilisers also help maintaining lift during steeper banking angles, ofc aided by your aircraft's velocity. It's understandable considering the linked controller only has room for so many keybinds. You have the 4 directional keys and a up/down bind. Personally, what i do with some builds to alleviate this is to set the Shift/Space control for rudder, and as throttle i just look at the RPM display on the speed controller/creative motor and scroll

Does this game actually account for that? Or was his plane only tilting because it was slightly off balance? When he showed the hitbox, you could see the center of mass was slightly off the roll axis to the left.

You can use the underside of the plane to get a second input of redstone in to make both the wings and tail contribute to both pitch and roll.

Loved the video @polartt! Can't wait for the next video man! This is probably the very first In-depth video about Clockwork that I've seen since it first came out several Months ago. The Combustion Engine looks kinda Interesting though and I'd love to see how That'll affect your Plane's Flight Characteristics and Performance as well! Strawberry Frosting as Fuel.... Kind of a Waste of Confectionery Products if you ask me. Also, I wonder if you could have your Flap Bearings angle down for your Takeoff. When I Fly on Flight Simulators for the Warbirds of World War Two, I like to make sure that I have my Flaps Down for the Extra Lift. Usually I'll set them down to about 30 Degrees depending on the Aircraft but it's usually enough to get me Airborne. You can also Build Tanks and Vehicles with Clockwork as well. The Conveyor Belt from Create Mod can be used as Tank Tracks and it's compatable with @Beeg Yosh's Create Big Cannons Mod. Valkyrien Skies Dev @Triode even Made Valkyrien Skies Compatable with the Tiny Blocks mod so you can Build Tiny Ships or stuff like that, which to me Seems like a Great Opportunity to have Some Reasonably Detailed Builds because you can Build a Proper, Functioning Cockpit on top of a Proper, Functioning Aircraft, Ship or Vehicle in Minecraft. If you Go onto @MC Military Force's Channel, you'll find plenty of Build Tutorials going back as far as about 5 or 6 years. You should be able to find a Piece of Hardware that you like and Try to Build it with Some Functionality in Minecraft with Clockwork and the Create Mod! I'd recommend checking out the M3 Half-Track, the LVT-4 Water Buffalo, The Jeep Willys MB, The B-17E Flying Fortress Heavy Bomber, The C-47 Skytrain Transport Plane and the M4 Sherman Medium Tank from World War Two since you'll likely need them for dealing with Pillagers in some way or even just Exploring the World. And the Elevator (Officially called the "Horizontal Stabilizer" in Aeronautics) is usually hinged kind like how you had it, but with everything behind the Hinge moving. I've never figured out why I've always seen this being done where you've got just one line of the Elevator just stuck to the Body of the Plane itself. Maybe that's how the Flap Bearings work but I'm not sure. Anyway, I hope you like the Idea man, can't wait for Episode 2 of Hardcore with the Create Mod. Maybe when Clockwork or Create Big Cannons gets another update, you can check it out with people like @Kwizzle Hazizzle, @Shalz, @Rango or even @TangoTek LMAO!

This mod needs a flight controller, so that you can also use yaw with your plane (usually Q and E on keyboard). A Yaw axis would also have helped with your start as you were veering to the side.

Valkyrien skies has the advantage that it is already out and can be used, but it's seriously not polished and looks unfinished. Whereas create aeronautics is still in closed beta but will probably be much more polished when published

I loved VS in my last modpack I made. It fit right in with the floating islands worldgen, It was unfortunate that structures generate on the void so you either need to disable them or repurpose them, all of them into floating islands, even stuff like fossils and ship wrecks. Village pieces and anything else procedural needed to be replaced with a 0kb blueprint. best part of create in all of this is i could develop these floating islands in game, and just paste them into the correct folder with the right name.

I think for the plane not to dive when trying to roll, you have to make flaps smaller. Because when you roll a lot of the lift is lost. You may wan't to make most of the wing fixed and the controlsurfaces take more agressive angles.

Is Eureka/clockwork compatible with already generated worlds? Or does it add raw materials of some kind and therefore need new chunks generated to find them. I plan of making a server for some friends but if it should be installed during initial world gen then we know to be patient and hold out on starting the server.

eureka doesnt have and/or use custom materials and clockwork is create-based so the pregenerated world only needs to have create

eureka is, clockwork isn't because it still doesn't have recipes for most if not all blocks and items. you could ask someone to make a kubejs script to add the recipes or make one yourself if you know js.

It may sound strange but, I'm the only one stressed because the tail group doesn't have a vertical stabilizer, and maybe that's why the plane handles horrible. (I insist on the MAYBE part, I still haven't had the time to try the mod) If anyone reads this and tests what I say, I'm interested to know if handling is drastically improved with a vertical stabilizer 🤔.

The physics infuser used to have this cool effect where a sort of "blast" was going from the block when activated, infusing other blocks with physics. Such a shame they have removed it...

Nope, Create mod is a separate mod to Valkyrien Skies 2 (just adds the physics). The mod they're using here which adds wings and propellers etc is another mod called Clockwork
