Wings can propel your aircraft upwards if its moving (Heavier aircraft - higher takeoff speed and more wings needed), while flaps are used to turn your aircraft (left/right, up/down and clockwise/counterclockwise)

@@speak4get56 you probably dont have a large enough control surface or youre in 1.20 where some stuff is messed up and the wings influence your roll ability
