Rubick is basically Ability Draft with Aghanim's. There's a ton of combos you can make if you are against a certain match up.

They should just have added the heavenly jump as an activate ability to static field and make something else as shard. They didn't because while Zeus isn't a competitive pick, he's a hero with high winrate in pubs. I personally liked the switch anyway, because when the enemies are with high hp mid to late game is when static field is needed the most. The arc lightning damage was buffed as well so it was a win.

I was absolutely shocked when P-Beast got those buffs. I've been playing him every game I can and I'm having the best win-rate I've had in a long long time with him. His ability to destroy the enemy battleplan is unparalleled. Early-to-mid game he's a terror to supports: pump everything into movement speed and his E to max trample damage, then you can run-down and kill any moderately squishy hero in the game. Once you get BKB you're golden until the real late-game. Also taking Q first lets you steal any enemy rune right at the start, very funny.

About pudge: I think its important 2 figure out that damage block works AFTER all resistances. For example: 1) Physical damage: (DAMAGE - malee hero block (on proc) OR Vanguard (Crimson) block - armor % block) - Fesh Heap block 2) Magical damage: (DAMAGE - Hood (Pipe) block - magic res. % block) - Fesh Heap block

Dazzle - Scepter can very quickly get an infinite W going on, as well as all the hilarity of item combo's. Aeon Disk refreshing is a super good escape mechanism if you cant cast it otherwise

I'm surprised that literally nobody is talking about Pugna this patch. Hes been getting buffed pretty much every patch for the last few cycles and now his ability to cast decrepify while channeling his ult is much much stronger than people realize. The hero is still completely countered by BKB and magic resist so he's still a situational pick but he can really dominate games up to about the 25 minute mark.

Yeah I c9mpletely disagree with jenkins. Drum boots is a must build cm item now, id argue you can even skip force staff with it. Drum boots glimmer on cm is functionally a second centaur ult that you just have. Also it means cm has high hp regen than mana regen for once in early midgame so she doesn't die half as easy. Ive seen people skip staff go glimmer drum ult like you said, playing her as a bombing run.

I think you're underrating Pudge's damage block. For one, it completely negates Rot selfdamage, aghs Rot as well if you get some magic resistance. Then it situationally shits on things like Mystic Flare or Brood, basically anything that does damage trough multiple instances, which fits almost half the hero roster actually.

I just tried Axe with mostly +armor items build; Cuirass, Shivas, Blade mail, Lotus. The aghs upgrade works so well with the battle hunger lvl 25 talent.

Something ive been toying with is midlane axe against some of the slower midlaners. Put two points in hunger, and a value point in call, you have a massive damaging dot on the enemy mid. Free last hits in mid causing them to spend more money on consumables early on. But it seems to not work past minute 8 or 9, once they get a couple items. Ill find a way tho. I feel im onto something

Techies is good, it literally works the same as primal beast winrate, why could we take techies winrate seriously if seleri maxes blast off and gets 1-15 while moonmeander plays with sticky bombs and has 6-0-5 at 11 minutes. Also I call it now - proxy mines minus magic resistance is overlooked.

surprised that there was no mention of dark willow, since she was one of the rather big losers of the patch. while her number changes were small, they were in areas that REALLY matter. shadow realm having a fade time is an absurdly heavy nerf to a squishy hero's only survivability option, and bedlam having a faster spin speed makes it much harder to aim, thus harder to use properly. they also introduced an old bug again in that the sound effect for max damage isn't max damage anymore, due to the 0.3 fade time.

The thumbnail is a very old and well known Legends of Dota build and part of the reason spell steal was balanced around a single ability. I almost lost my mind when I saw rubick getting 2 spells with aghs. There are just too many ways to make 2 extra spells broken in Dota. Even something stupid simple such as 2 nukes can turn regular rubick to lina levels of nukage. Enjoy it while it lasts, because this is NOT going to fly for long.

@Professor Thinker obviously never played legends of dota before.... Classic build is known as huggernaut, where you go any fast ticking damage spell (like ion shell) and bat riders sticky napalm. since napalm gives a flat damage increase each tick of damage it adds up to alot very fast. All you do is you pick these 2 abilities and hug people to death. Legends of Dota is a very old Dota Custom game even in warcraft.
