A tele is definitely a guitarist best friend I firmly believe! Cheers for the lesson man

RC32 I know exactly what you mean. I was playing some chord progressions last night, started on my PRS CU 24 and was feeling it, picked up the Strat and was feeling it...then I grabbed the Tele and it was game over...a good Tele is just magical

Besides for the melody itself having some great spice to it, the descriptors of the feelings associated with those chord forms gave me a break through in how to use them. Thanks for doing what you do man. I'm loving it. Best video I've seen in a while

Whether I learn something new or not from your posts is beside the point. I usually do and in this case I’m headed for the tele and vox to try it out. But I am always entertained by your point of view and have literally “lol’d” in public listening to your lessons (hints/suggestions?) so thanks from a bit further north!

Nice One Sean, I enjoyed that. As a Man of a certain vintage , i'm moving away from Lead Guitar and getting into those mellow rhythmic chords and tones. For the next Q & A could you provide a sort of Road Map for learning chord extensions. All these fancy chords seem a bit intimidating and i don't really know where to start with them all. Thankyou.

Man your dangerous. I'm in Improve heaven. Thanks Sean. I've spent 98% of time running scales and scales. Actually saying the notes as I go, oh my, yes; learning the fret board. The cover songs will come later, much later. I'm still wondering why people need some chart called "Circle of 5ths"? When the minor scale from a Major is simply the 6th note away. There are some basics that just have to be learned and remembered. JMO.

How you doing on leaning to play C shape barr chords? You been doing your practice or shirking off? In keeping with this current video, play a G barr chord on the 3rd fret, then again with a C shape barr chord on the 7th fret. Now see how easy that is?? Practice it until it is 2nd nature. Pretty soon you will not be so confined.

Do you, for a millisecond beforehand, "know" what its going to sound when you are about to play that note/chord/progression. I guess what I am asking is how hard is it to get to a point where my playing is an expression of what I am hearing beforehand in my head.
@Lewis21455 жыл бұрын
ambrish sinha just keep practicing man. The more you practice a chord, scale, melody, etc the easier it is to translate what you hear in your head to what your playing. What’s helped me out is thinking up a melody in my head and figuring out how to play it guitar. It just takes time but promise it’s possible
