Great stuff. Just finished my first build. I had it running right after build then the engine siezed up. Piece of metal from the factory. I replaced the piston rings, put hp carb, brass head gasket and hp cdi and magneto. Took me another few weeks to figure out my woodruff key was missing from the magnet. Once I installed it runs great

While I dont know how well this carb works on a 2 stroke engine, I can tell you it sure helped my 4 stroke run way better them the carb that came with the 4 stroke engine. But, it does need jetti g down a bit. I think its jetted for a 80 or 100cc engine and my 4 stroke is a baby 49cc. Anyway, I do recommend this carb for a 4 stroke.

Mine ran good in cold high altitude weather on a 65 or 68 jet. Brought the bike to sea level and did not run no matter what. At sea level getting 45mph on a bofang and was getting that same speed at high altitude with the hp. Benefit for my when using the hp, it ran when under 20 degrees at high altitude when the bofang would not start at all
@keeganhache66672 жыл бұрын
Yeah changing elevation a lot can effect these small engines for the worst. Like I mentioned if you go with the real aerbo carb you can adjust the air/fuel screw on the fly which is way easier than changing out the main jet all the time. Sometimes the needle clip will get you by too.

Good evening young man. I've been enjoying your videos for a few years now, much respect for your skills and attention to the details. If it's OK, I'd like to ask you about my h p carburetor. I'm running a lightly ported 66cc motor with an OZ reed and a clone mz65exhaust. I believe my issue is the jetting, but I would appreciate your opinion. So my idle screw is mostly all the way in for the engine to idle. While starting the ride, I believe it's 4 stroking, until I give it about 3/4 throttle. During acceleration it runs/ sounds perfect. Once I'm cruising its OK, maybe just a little 4 stroking. There is really no low speed or low end performance. The jet doesn't have a number on it, so I can't say the size. Based on what I have told you, should I make a change to the jet and, if so ,go larger or smaller? Oh, one more thing: I was considering adding a length of hose between the reed case and carburetor. Would that help or hinder the performance? Thank you in advance for your help, and please keep up your excellent work! Take care Keegan.

@keeganhache6667 Жыл бұрын
With the third transfer port you may need to up size your main jet to like a #72. Also your altitude plays a huge part in what jets run too. With my piston port setup on the black and blue bike I find that a #70 jet words great.

I’m having some difficulty getting my HP to un choke. 99% of the time it won’t un choke so I have to do it manually. The times that I did get it to un choke I’ve been twisting the throttle to the breaking point. Any advice or suggestions? One person of considerable credibility suggested that I needed to switch out the standard twist throttle for an upgraded aluminum style, but I can’t understand why that would make a difference, plus I’d lose the kill switch.
@keeganhache6667 Жыл бұрын

I have a problem with my bike, I would really apreciate if you could find time to help me. So it starts kinda hard, and then it idle properly, but when I left the throttle after a couple minutes of full throttle, it starts reving even higher. It had a problem staing on, even with the idle screw screwed all the way in so I grind a little from the flap to make more room for air. This solved the probleme, but on a new engine I think it will idle way to high. This is a 66cc 2 stroke, piston port, with a full speed around 55km/h. And it have around 6000 km so far on this set, the bottom end have way more, around 15000km, but it dosent have leaks so I think its still working properly. I recently change the piston rings, beliving that those could be the problem, and indeed the old ones were wore off. I didnt change the piston or cylinder yet, and it still rev like crazy after riding wot for awhile. I try with another carb and the same problem occured (with the same jet). Going up on the jet, will make the engine start easier, but its performance decrease semnificantly, getting only to 30-35km/h. This new generation of sets from the past couple of years, I noticed have the piston skirt for transfer lower with almost 1mm. And have a sever decrease in performance.

I’m currently running to lean on one of these carburetors on my bike. One I’m around half throttle it’s OK but then when I reach full throttle, I slow down and set up speed up😂 It’s really annoying because it feels like that extra twist in the handle should give you more speed but I kind of just have to find tune it to a specific spot which is like a half turn and that’s just enough for me to move and reach my 24 25 mph speeds, but it still feels like I should have more power than I do especially on an uphill
@gunbuster333SMSTI10 ай бұрын
And I get it it’s only a 50 cc engine but still it feels like it’s lacking in power and some forms told me that it’s most likely running to lean😂 but I guess I’ll have to do some more research on drilling a hole on that middle pin and hey if I break it, I can always go back to the NT carburetor🎉 I know it’s dumb to say this, but if you want to see the bike, then I’ve been posting videos on my channel about it and the issues I’ve been fixing along the way
