This was the eye opener I had last year making videos. I went from a single overhead recessed light and trying to use a desk lamp to using a softbox and framing myself correctly. It's incredible how different the video quality is when you have decent lighting and camera focus, hah.

INSANELY Good. You've blown my mind. I had no idea it was possible to go from grainy awful footage to expertly sharp and well defined hq video from lighting alone. I realise I don't even need to change my camera at this rate. Or even get overly.expensive lights. Well done !

I don't understand why people had to dislike so much for this one. I think it's because of the bad scenes in the beginning and they were not patient enough to wait until the end to see a nice one. I literally followed every single pro tip and setting for M50 and I'm really satisfied with the videos I'm producing. You are amazing and you share every secret to make videos look better and even many pro and large-scale filmography KZbinrs were not helpful because they don't guide you the whole thing step-by-step straightforward. You are really amazing and I appreciate all the content you made.

do you use the Canon EF-M 22mm f2 for this type of video and if yes, how far you should be away from the lens to get face + torso in the canvas? thanks
@TheCrowleyCrew4 жыл бұрын
I use the 15-45mm for the majority of my studio shots. If I’m not I am using a manual Tamron 28mm f2.5 with the speed booster. To get that shot with the 22mm though you probably need about 2 1/2 feet from you to the camera. It does work good, but in my space I can’t get the camera far enough back.

To diffuse the soft box light it may be better to use white backing paper. It is more transparent than normal paper and if the light bulb gets really hot, it doesn't catch fire. Great video. Great video. I do a lot of green screen on my channel but am working on building out another wall in my studio/office. To be honest, I actually prefer my lighting to be a bit harsher than so soft you lose detail. KZbin compression wonkyness has made me appreciate my Sunpak LED's from Best Buy... I'm still transitioning though from Green Screen and enjoyed this a lot.
@TheCrowleyCrew4 жыл бұрын
Cool. I act would love to learn green screen at some point. Style is definitely something to think about. I like the classic Rembrandt but definitely harsh light important to know too. I should actually put effort into learning that.
@BangSwitchActuator4 жыл бұрын
@@TheCrowleyCrew Green screening basics are easy! Use 3 point lighting, key light, fill light, and then backlight the green screen. Make sure you illuminate the green screen as evenly as possible for the best effect. If you have a hair light/backlight your subjects will look better. Green screen fabric nearly covered an entire wall for me for $13 bucks. I didn't buy a stand for it, rather I used push pins to stretch it out over my wall. Stretch it out good as wrinkles can ruin the green screen effect. Anyways, keep up the good work. I love your content.

Well done. Been subd for awhile. I just picked up the sigma 1.4 16mm EF-M. I know it’s expensive, but it’s not even as much as the camera. I think it’s a reasonable cost to buy a lense that’s around the same cost as your camera to get an amazing low light and shallow depth of field lense. Please consider buying it and using in videos. Anyways, keep up the good work man.

The video out of the camera is choppy when there is side to side movement 30fps looks a little better, but not acceptable. good lighting, 1/30, f5.0, ISO 640. I'm useing the 15- 45 lens that came with it. Any settings i'm not settting correctly? Please Help.
@TheCrowleyCrew4 жыл бұрын
It is probably your shutter speed. In order to get smooth movement you have to double your frame rate with you shutter speed, meaning 24p needs a shutter speed of 1/50, 30p needs 1/60 shutter speed and 60p needs 1/125. Let me know if that helps.
@bniee83594 жыл бұрын
@@TheCrowleyCrew Thanks for your reply. I was already shooting like that, double the frame speed. It looks better in 60fps, but 24 and 30 have a flutter effect when the subject moves forward ar side to side
