Very straightforward. Want to make my own custom length cables because the lengths I need are very in between the set of cables I can buy. Great video!

Great video! Our church uses F connections and an adapter to BNC. Due to the cable companies investing into F connections there are some really good tools.

Id just like to say that if an SDI cable has a hard pull on it, it's almost never preferable for the break to occur at the equipment it's connected to rather than the crimp itself. Re-crimping cost much less than the equipment it was connected to or a doctor's visit.

Never mentioned what kind of COAX to use. RG6 Quad would be my pick. But I'm new to SDI, so I could be wrong. RG6QS works great for sat hookups so it should be fine for SDI. Crimp connectors have never worked great for me. The hex crimp look to be more stable but those cheep 2 side scrimp I can pull apart, no problem. I've had best success with compression fit connections. I've used them with F connections successfully. And recently tried SDI and they work too.

Great video, but a few recommendations to make the Kings work better for you: For connectors use Kings 2065-10-9 it is the correct connector for Belden 1694a. For stripping the cable make sure you have the lengths set appropriately: remove the jacket to 0.624", remove the shielding to 0.312" and expose 0.155" of the center conductor. For crimping use a single 0.42" crimp on the inner pin (in the video you just flatten it with the die alignment guide). The outer sleeve should get a single 0.275" crimp next to the connector leaving a small flare on the cable end to limit damage when the cable is bent near the connector.

Question. My church is getting ready to start live streaming our services and I'm facing a bit of a dilemma. We're using a dual camera setup and I was wondering if it would be best to run audio to a single camera and keep lip sync easy or run audio to the computer and adjust the settings in obs to regain lip sync. Also, if I run audio to a single camera, will I keep audio when I switch to camera 2?

That is an SD camera. You would need to convert the Composite video output to SDI with something like this (amzn.to/30XtZhB). But understand that you are just getting SD-SDI so it will still be SD resolution.

How far sdi signal work if we use rg 6 cable? Cx8 camera
@BallastMedia

There isn't an easy answer to that. It depends on what bandwidth ( eg resolution and frame rate, 3G/6G/12G, etc) that you are sending. Here is a helpful table to give you a general idea of how long you can run the cable: www.canford.co.uk/TechZone/Article/MaximumTransmissionDistances
