Bleached paper is toxic... I am a biologist and when you wet bleached paper towel you basically take out all the chemicals out of the paper towel and rub it all around. Frankly these chemicals are not harmful for you just like wet wipes are not since you are not a single cell. These small amount of toxic chemicals can harm a single cell. But not you since you have a free detoxification system in your body called a liver and kidneys. Plus the mixture you're making is very good for the bacteria and mold that can actually harm you and your baby. baby wipes are perfect for babies skin as we know their exact pH and bacteria and fungus not being able to grow in it. Lemon has a pH so low that can actually burn the skin. It's natural. Natural doesn't mean good. Bleached paper towel is the last thing you want next to your baby's skin. Buy the damn wet wipes or if you really want to do it do it with real towels. This way no bacteria and fungi can grow. Edit: So someone is deleting my comments so I will simply answer from here. Dear gracepisano, Why you always talk about something that i don't even mention? You do you boo. You dissect plants i work with radiation biology. Just because you don't research doesn't make it false. Yes I have said bleached paper is the last thing you want on your baby's skin because you can just wash the poo instead of wiping it with essential oil. I guess you have never seen the effects of essential oils on human skin. I frankly have seen it and it's not what I want on my baby's skin. Let alone those papers when wet and waiting in a closed area god knows what grows in there. She prepares this in a room. (not in a lab) There's no flame next to the wet paper. So you guessed it, everything is falling down on it, including bacteria. And as she closes the bag anaerobic bacteria will definitely grow. From where ? The fallen down ones(1) because absence of flames and her hands not having gloves(2). Plus she is breathing and talking on it. The bacteria from the mouth(3) is also going in there why, no mask, plus the bleaching process is a unknown thing. I don't want to wet it and get all the bleaching chemicals on my babies skin. About the diapers being the best place for bacterial growth yes you are correct my fellow biologist but my point was not that lol. What if you want to clean the face or the hands just like she's doing in the Video.? The baby gets the bacteria from the home made wipes puts in in her mouth or eyes and the bacteria gets into the eye. I am eagerly waiting for your response. Plus have you seen a paper showing that after opening baby wipes, the wipes grow bacteria in them and they should not be used? Don't you know how to grow a seed without growing mold on it miss dissection? I don't think you do. Read your books again before commenting on my posts instead of being a keyboard warrior and making assumptions about me. End of my answer.

I used to make these for my boys. The oil in it also made their skin non stick. So no more stick poos. Can't believe the boys are so big now.

Distilled water is best. Tap water changes the color and has bacteria growth later. Just wanted to add that. God bless! Lynne 🍃💜✝️💜🍃

Baby soaps are made with as little strong chemicals as possible bc, well, they're for baby skin. For that reason, disolving them is probably making them prone to bacterial growth again. The essential oils could help, but you can't be sure. So she's basically putting her baby in danger of skin infections ^^

At the icu, they told me you can use plain wet napkins just fine in fact they did that them selves once they ran out of wipes the goal is to clean any method possible..

I used big cotton pads, hot water and coconut oil. That's it.
@willowsanimalworld99764 ай бұрын
Please DO NOT use essential oils in these. And using soft toilet paper may be less harsh on your baby’s tush as paper towels which are bleached have a lot of chemicals in them. I would honestly recommend just using reusable bamboo cloths and water. Love the fact you’re trying to make these at home tjough

Honestly, something like this probably would have been easier for my daughter. She was born with a rare intestinal disease and has lived with an ileostomy for most of her life, but there was a year where they tried to reconnect her intestines to her bottom, and it was just bad. I used gauze because paper towels were too rough and wipes were absolutely out of the question. Thankful for ilex in that time.

Just get some washcloths and distilled water, as it's a lot safer. Also if your baby gets a rash, breastmilk will help it heal

Idk what mom needs to read this, but women used to raise children in caves and we made it till today lol Baby's are not fragile or super sensitive, they're actually super resilient. Just love and care for them without overthinking it and listen to pediatricians lol

I’m sure the creator has done her research so this is directed to the comment section: make sure you research the essential oils before using them! Not everything pure and natural is safe and non-toxic. Always check before using it on your baby, especially in extra sensitive areas
@luce24984 ай бұрын
If she has done her research then she should know that this is extremely dangerous. Essential oils could give the baby a UTI, food poisoning or even brain damage. The kitchen wipes are bleached so there's that. And then on top of it they could grow mold and also give the baby food poisoning or lung issues. This practice would be considered child abuse in many countries. If she is worried about toxicity she's taking the whole wrong approach. A washcloth with distilled water would've been a better alternative

Love it! Regular wipes irritate my little ones skin!
@salamilidaintgonfit75764 ай бұрын
This will likely be much worse, as the paper towels are rough, full of bleach, essential oils can irritate and give yeast infections, etc. this is not the way

If you are from south asia, best to use fresh water. Yes, just after 40 days we start washing our baby's body after every diaper change. In winters luke warm water is used then a thin layer of olive or mustard oil. No need to use chemicals at all. In my city it never gets too cold even in winters so it is totally safe to wash the baby's butt.
@luce24984 ай бұрын

I did this 25 years ago, and used 2 cups water, 2 tablespoons baby soap and baby oil. We didn't have coconut oil or essential oils back then. A mild baby bath, and baby oil was all we had. It worked just fine!
