I just had jaw surgery and I’m craving something sweet and I remembered that bingsu exists! I think I can eat it if I let it melt in my mouth. I can’t eat the toppings though since I’m only allowed to drink liquids for now 💔 But I’ll definetily make this with the toppings when I’ve healed!! 😍

Hi 👋 Yuhhh👋 Wishing you a speedy recovery. I would suggest that you blend your favorite toppings (i.e. brownies, cookies or fruit) with the ice slush. I would use a straw to sip/drink the BingSu (after it melts a little bit) to spare yourself the agony of spoon feeding yourself. I also recommend having Misugaru (multi grain protein shake) since you are temporarily limited to having liquids only. She said you need an "industrial level" ice shavong machine, yall this is not true! I got a reatively cheap one on Aliexpress and it works perfectly, you can set the thickness of the shavings and it's electric and not large but very cute. I wanted to link it here but obviously it's impossible... just look up "Mini Ice Crusher Household" and you'll probably find one in the top 3 - it's blue, has a Chinese looking letter on the front, two round nadles - one large on the side and one on top, andtwo tall legs. I swear I love this thing!

Hi Skylar👋 Great to hear that u found an ice shaving machine that works for u at an ‘affordable’ price point🤗 From my experience, ice shaving machines at a certain price point never worked out for me cuz: (1) the machine heats up (requiring resting period in between) and by then, the ice has melted (2) the amount of ice dispensed is too small amount to make a substantial BingSu portion (3) Hand cranked ice sharing machines....forget about it. By the time u crank and shave enough ice, half has melted, and almost always, the handle breaks off😩 BUT my girlfriend has one ($300+) and it dispenses shaved ice so well, without requiring a break from over heating. Anywhoo, this BingSu recipe is for those who wish to make BingSu at home without a machine.

Hi Lynn Phan! YES, having a BingSu ice shaving machine would be AWESOME👍 . BUT unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of being able to have one. I just literally don't have the space or the luxury of making that kind of financial investment for a machine that I would use only a handful times during the summer.
