@@NjArts314 for this. hot glue is the best option. normal stick or PVA glue won’t work as well. and epoxy is too heavy in both weight and scent for the mask. Use hot glue to save yourself

@@Shotbyshot_official what you can do is print it out on standard size, cut it out and tape together the paper template to test it before you make it with cardboard. If it dosent fit, scale up or down the % when printing

You should post some photos on how the face she’ll actually looks under the mask Also,suggestion: you mentioned not being able to breathe or talk as comfortable as other face shells so what you can do is either cut holes or drill holes into it

you can cut and drill holes, however with it being cardboard, it loses alot of structural support doing that. especially if you use bondo and then drill through it

silk dosent use a shell, just the face mask and it normally looks fine just over a face :)

I bought a Spider-Man mask with moving eyes from eBay. I then modified the mask (took out all the mechanics and eye guard cuz it kept getting foggy.) figured out I can take off the lenses frames from the outside. Use fabric needlepoint sheets and put it between the frames and the eye holes. They snap back into place. I made a superior Spider-Man mask with black needlepoint sheets cutout. And used white for a no way home ending suit mask.

For this it’s kinda touch and go. I had to print out a few sizes to see what fit best. Best method is to print one at 100%, make a paper version then size up or down as needed

you absolutely could! one of my first shell attempts I did that. I eventually opted for bondo over the mache, but it works too! Just be careful since it may weaken the cardboard when appyling it w water.

Yep! freestyle it. print out a smaller version so you can see what the goal is. and apply it to the size you need

sometimes you gotta freehand the rest of the template if your paper is too small. i’ll tell you now, most heads won’t fit a template on standard letter paper. it may be a case of printing it in sections, taping it together, and sizing up or down from there

How much hardener did you use in* the bondo? It was kinda on the grey side

the bondo is supposed to be grey. Mine was old, so i needed to apply a second coat of addinital harderer on mine. Which is why when mine is dry it has both grey and red. Yours should be just grey. :)

Could be it was just old it usually changes color when you mix the hardener in. I would toss that can I think it’s passed it usefulness

If youve never seen any of it and dont have much context. Start chronologically. 1-3, solo, rogue one, 4-9. Then you can go back and watch the shows for more context. But the core movies do in order if its your first ever viewing.

@@NaadanBalak unfortunately based on printer scale and the size of the template designed. there isn’t a 100% way. You can try to measure the length of your forehead, and match it to the design. But the way i did it was honestly just sizing up/down in percentage untill one worked

I actually don't recommend pressing tight to cut through cardboard with a Stanley knife. I think it's much better to do shallow cuts over the same line about 3 or more times until you cut through it.

depends on the cardboard type. With this specific one. One solid slice worked best for me to ensure i didnt get stringy bits. However for thicker cardboard, or a thicker plastic material, your method is defiantly smarter.

@@gooberpiebuba you don’t NEED one. a lot of cosplayers are perfectly fine without it. it’s just a useful add on for a more accurate look. I recently made a vid diving into it you really do need one or not. Feel free to check it out!
