Definitely going to try adding some saline solution to my next old fashioned. Personally I would serve an old fashioned in a big and heavy whiskey glass but that's just me. Great video, really enjoyed it!

Thanks so much! I think the saline really does add something to the drink. I hope you enjoyed it!

I agree, I love the Nude glasses. This is a water glass by them, here is an affiliate link if you wanted to pick some up while also supporting the channel at no extra cost 🙂 geni.us/4nOprvy

when shouldnt you use saline??

I tend to use it to bring ‘wide’ drinks together i.e. drinks that have big acidity, sweetness, bitterness, booziness etc. If this is a key feature of the drink such as in a Daiquiri, i actually want the width, but if the big elements would benefit from coming together to be more harmonious, I try adding saline to achieve this. The key is that the drink shouldn’t taste like salt, so once i taste it, i back down slightly then compare that amount vs none. If the saline wins, it makes it into the recipe! If the two are very similar or the original wins, I don’t add it. What is the saying… “Thank you for coming to my TED Talk”? 😂

I mean there isn’t much wrong with this at all. Personally, I like brown sugar emulsified with bitters (Orange). Quiet time consuming as mentioned. Solid work otherwise!!
