I have a cold and have been staying off school the past few days. My nose is running like hell and my throat used to be sore but it isn't as bad as it was (it's still a little sore, but not a ton), my Mam said if I only have a bad nose that's no excuse to stay home from school. Also, my Mam's a nurse so I have to actually show her my throat is sore, I'm not a bad actor, but just telling her won't cut it no more. She'll look at my throat properly, push a lollipop stick down it and ask me rigged questions to try catch me out. Luckily I've done this millions of times before, so i know how to answer them. I still feel rotten and I want to stay off school today but she's gonna go looking for redness in my throat and she'll see it's better compared to what it was yesterday and send me to school.

I am a beautiful woman with a nice voice. I went on a job interview many years ago very well prepared and i had strep throat. They were doubtful of me. I believe it was partly my deep voice that kept them attentive. It is why i want to make it sore for some of my next interviews. I read in psychology women have a high pitch tone that makes them appear less credible subconsciously.
