This was great. I'd really love a video on EQ about what frequencies to start looking at when attempting to change specific sounds.

I did not know Adobe Audition is that sophisticated, that's a pleasant surprise.

Hi Mike! I applied everything you taught us here to my dub (voiceover) video but it sounded a little unnatural. I do not have a studio. I use bym1 to record voice at home with sounds coming from outside such as car noises, neighbor noises and such. I can't afford a pro mike either. So what else do you suggest doing to attain perfect, "natural" sound mixing?
@MikeRussell5 жыл бұрын
If it sounds unnatural you'd want to consider backing off the compression a little to get a more "natural" sound.

I'm learning to make a radio promo from you, but I have doubts about voiceover. Why do you use it as a stereo? I understand that the voice-over must be used as a mono source only, and do voiceover with music require -6 dB for a headroom to mastering? Please tell me about this question. And I thank your channel for allowing me to learn techniques from you.

I'm just getting to audio editing in my movie. Do you have a tutorial that you'd recommend for someone who is just starting to edit his takes together in Premier, before moving them over to audition? I don't want to shoot myself in the foot without even knowing it, before it's too late. Thanks.

Mike, since everyone listens to audio on many different devices, is there a "Magic" way to ensure all audio devices still deliver the same good quality sound? is there a stand alone eq to make sure that your input vocal when recording is as true as possible to real life? if that makes sense
@MikeRussell3 жыл бұрын
If you master your audio using good quality studio monitors or good quality headphones then you give your audio the best chance of sounding good across devices. Bear in mind however even good audio will still only be able to sound as good as the speaker that someone will be listening on.

I do my own audio for my own online courses, and I have a hard time deciding what is the best sound. To go through all the settings you've demonstrated just leaves me with decision fatigue. I have EQ and compression settings that I just use every time as a default. I'm doing straight forward voiceover, though.
