Great Video, thank you. I use a combination of To Do, Loop, and mainly a whiteboard which helps me to see the "full picture". My main stop is the whiteboard which gives me a visual of what's really important, and then I have links to To Do, and other MS components.

@@danielmelo2579 thank you for sharing! I love the idea of using Whiteboard for the initial 'big picture.'

Hi Amy, some topics I'm interested in are how to use copilot with office apps and I wonder if you can talk about Obsidian. I have heard copilot is integrated into Obsidian, and I wonder if they can be used together.

I meant office apps, copilot, and Obsidian used together.

Thanks Alan, ooh this sounds great. I've been a bit delayed on Copilot but hoping for a first video on the subject on Tuesday. Very interested in this, let me dive in and see what I can put together! Love the ideas 🙃

I am also interested in voice commands and dictation in office apps and copilot. How many apps work with voice and how much can you do with voice commands?
@officeskillswithamy9 ай бұрын
Hi Allen, this is great, thank you for the idea. I have been playing with voice commands and will get some videos for you! Soooo much better than typing IMO!

Thank you so much for your great intro, Amy! maybe I am not thinking though. for the integrations... there is no big difference using Planner directly right? it's just that you would access Planner from Loop interface.
@officeskillswithamy5 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment Kate! If you insert a Planner Plan into Loop then updates will sync so it doesn't matter. BUT if you are referring to Planner Plans vs. Task Lists, there are some differences. I would say that a Planner Plan is more official, whereas a Task List should be used for convenience. If you are referring to Task Lists, then I recently did a video here answering some questions that I have received: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4jJhZava792gq8 I hope that this helps :)

Ps. Have you heard any scuttle about Loop eventually rolling out an Undo/Redo button à la MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, or Excel? I know there's a Version history feature in Loop, but it appears very much a work in progress, and-at any rate-it is not nearly so handy as a button to simply undo the last command? I thought (at first) maybe it was a desktop vs. Web version thing, but it's not.
@officeskillswithamy9 ай бұрын
Hey Tom, thanks for the question! I wonder this pretty much every single day 😅 I have not heard any scuttle unfortunately, but I certainly hope that they add it in the future 🤞 Version history is a great option. I am also a big fan of CTRL + Z (undo) and CTRL + SHIFT + Z (redo).
@tomalongi78519 ай бұрын
@@officeskillswithamy That was actually a good thought, and something I didn't consider. But it didn't work, and I did test both inside and outside a component box (Web and desktop versions alike). I noticed, though, that CTRL-Z is assigned to a Fancy Zones editor that I have installed on my PC, so that may explain the hindrance. I'm going to try reassigning the key combo or uninstalling FZ altogether and see if it works! Thanks again, Amy! :)

Thanks for the info. I hope that it sorts itself out! I definitely use the undo a LOT! Good luck!

Regarding the completion date, can you make a video explaining how to set a reminder to notify you when it gets close to the date in question, that an email arrives from the person who was tagged in the @ right there in the task table?
@officeskillswithamy9 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment! Absolutely, I can add this into the pipeline. in the meantime, these tasks are integrated with Planner. If you to go the Planner (web version), select settings (gear icon, top right), Notifications, then there are some notifications that you can turn on right away for when someone assigns a task to me and for late, due & upcoming tasks. I hope that this helps :)

you can add planner to loop now and this does integrate with the actual planner

Hi, Amy! I loved your clip. But I wanted to speculate that you must be running a super-cool, running-for-public-office, yes-I-will-accept-that-trophy, intergalactic Beta version of Loop ... becaaaaause ... there is no "expand table" option on my Web or Desktop versions of Loop when I open a Kanban board. Not the end of the world, but I thought you should know! :)

Thank you Tom! Hmmm that is very interesting 🤔 I did sign up for Loop Preview about a year ago so perhaps it is slightly different. I thought it was all the same now, maybe it's coming for everyone soon! I just use a standard business license for desktop apps.

@@officeskillswithamy It's okay! I'm sure it will float ashore at some point. Like a lump of mangled seaweed, right? Lol. We're running M365 Business Premium, so I have to believe it can't be the subscription. Anyway, thank you for answering. That was nice of you. I'll post separately about my other question. But don't feel compelled to answer. I know this isn't a tech support site!

Can I drag my emails into tasks? I'm trying to find a new option to drag emails into besides Microsoft To do.
@officeskillswithamy7 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment! At this stage, you cannot directly drag emails into Loop. There is a bit of a work around that I've been playing around with though. In New Outlook you can drag an email to a task and then open the task in the new Planner in Teams and assign it to a plan (either created via a Task List in Loop or Planner Plan).

Thank you for the comment. This is interesting! When I created a video on how to use the New Planner in Teams (link here, kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWG1qYGhd7h2sLs), I noticed that Todo Lists were showing up under My Plans > Personal. These are not currently visible through the regular Planner app, if they were (and they might be in the future when the web version gets an upgrade), then I am hopeful that we would be able to just open the Todo list in Planner and then paste the URL into Loop 🤞🏼
