It's been quite a while since I've made a how-to, and I'm excited to start making more for you guys. Webisodes and other videos seemed to be more enjoyed by you guys, so I put my little time into making those. However, I now have some more free time so I'm going to start trying to do a few how-tos per month. Some basic, some advanced. A big reason I was hesitant to making some is because I've gotten super picky with the quality of the filming, so much so that I just refused to make how-tos all together. I realized that isn't benefiting anyone so I had my girlfriend Nicole come along with Spencer and me and spend some time putting together a video that I believe will make manuals way easier for you. This is the first of a new wave of how tos, so please be vocal and tell us in the comments what you liked, what you didn't like, what we should add in the videos, and obviously what other tricks you would like to learn.

You could always get one off Craigslist or face book marketplace they sell really good bikes for 100-200 dollars and you can just clean everything up sand it and paint it

#1 manual trick everyone forgets to tell you. Drop your back foot down, DON'T KEEP YOUR FEET LEVEL TO THE BIKE like I did for 3 unsuccessful years. Re-watch this video and ignore everything except for their foot position. The more you drop that back foot the easier it will be to stay balanced. Once I started doing this I went from 3 years of 3 feet manuals to going to 50 foot manuals in a matter of days.

The comment I was looking for, I found this out through experimenting. Basically, it's easier to pull and balance the manuel when you apply most of your pressure to the rear pedal. Went from struggling to pull the manual to pulling and controlling the manuel easier.

Key to bmx tricks. All tricks. Build muscle in your arms and left. You need to be able to control your bike. Push-ups and squats. Zero tips will help if you don’t have the muscle to throw your bike around.

Same concept but scootering is going up and down/ through bumps. In bmx racing you would scooter the small humps as it is quicker

if you still can't do it try getting a lighter bike so your weight can affect the bike more of that makes sence

*i can't find my balance point for sh*t lol... i either can't lean back far enough, causing the front wheel to not lift off, or i lean back to far and loop out. I try to go in the middle, but just end up going too far forward or too far back.. Their tips are all really good another thing hat helped me is I picked a crack on the sidewalk and put a 2x4 down in front of it and kept manueling to he board that way you can tell how far your back tire goes

hey man im really trying to learn manuels fakies 180s n 360s i used to ride when i was younger and then i got hit by a mini van (not while riding i was actually walking to school funny story about when i woke up from surgery i thought i was SOMEPLACE not my home n a week day but it was a snowday in the beginning of october) n i never got back into riding again until after my best friend died n even then it wasnt like how it used to be but like i watch ur videos n like im tryna get back into it recently now the videos help a lot its just kinda hard to do it all alone without a ur homie coachin u know what i mean but really thanks for helping me back on a bike

What type of bmx bikes do you recommend? I bought a bike yesterday and it's got the hand brakes, the pegs and all that good stuff but you guys are using bikes without that stuff so I didn't know if it made it lighter or something and that's why it helps make the tricks easier or what so if you would help me out I would appreciate it

for a decent bmx bike it would cost u around 380 bucks. usually they would only come with a rear brake. they take their brakes off for personal preference. it doesnt matter how heavy your bike is to do a manual

ok, I can do a manual for a significant distance. but I seem to have hit a wall. I can only do it for about the same distance about 3 to 4 parking spots I continue to pump but still either comes down or goes back. is there any tips to keep it going. I'm not sure about the peddling to continue going.
