Working back brake is good to have, i once manualed over pudle with some speed ( maybe 20km/h), realised that my back brake doesn't work thay good and looped over, luckily my backpack broke the fall😅 And that was one my most successful manuals ever😁

Have you ever used one of those manual trainers? Are they a gimmick? I'd like to find the balance point without busting my a$$ lol!

One of our guys who struggled with manuals did use one and he noticed results! Not to say that same effort spent outside would have been different results, but when it’s 20 degrees outside and snowing, it makes practice easier. Haha

I can wheelie as long as i like and can sit down manual, just slightly touch rear brake and sit right on the balance point but can't do it for long standing up! Frustrating!

No shame in that.

Long chainstays dont make it easier. You really have to yank and get back. And on a full sus you have to sort of sink your heels in as you pull. But no matter what bike, its a balance between the front wheel and your butt. Stick that booty out and drop it low!

Here's the truth for you I was in the gay bay better known as San Francisco and we seen quite a few mountain bikers on bikes with no seat just the pole WTF
