Can u move any valves in the pool plumbing Before the pump (suction side skimmer and main drain) while the pump is on?? I heard u are suppose to shut the pump off first, then adjust the valve and turn the pump back on. Any valves After the pump u can move while the pump is on. Like the valves on the return side. Is this right or wrong? Thanks!! Love ur videos, they have helped me love taking care of my pool on my own!! :)

You absolutely adjust the valves with the pump running or not running. BUT make sure you leave at least one return side valve open (and suction side valve open) when your running the pump so you cause a sudden loss of pressure or increase in pressure (which can be dangerous).

The one that I use is absolutely worth it. Ahhh I was hoping you were showing how to adjust the position inside the auto mech. I have a valve that stops before being exactly lined up to off. About 10 degrees too soon

Sometimes it can be a stop pin that is blocking the valve from going all the way. Typically those are used to prevent the valve from turning too much in one direction depending on the plumbing set up.

Sounds like the valve needs to be replaced.
