Reverse analysis always works. The strategies you showed are cool, but not for everyone and not for every product (except for ads). Show how you create a product, how you promote it (without ads!) and show the results in 30 days (or some other time). But show how you do it, not how others did it.

How important is A+ content? Should one implement it straight after publishing a book or is the best practice to only do it for already selling books?

I feel it's a good idea to implement it as soon as possible as it will be one of the first things people will see when looking at your listing. It's even more important for mobile version as it doesn't have the look inside feature.
