Are you making the "very conservative"$150 a month profit more than 3 months after launch? Not a dig at you, because 99.999999% of authors do not even make the lowest amount this guy gives. I'd just like to have some real information here instead of spin because throwing these numbers around to make himself look good can cause a lot of heartbreak for real authors starting out who don't know that their experience of starting slow is totally normal.

Thank you for all the great info. With your tips and advice, I've now got two of a four-journal series and a kids' mindfulness coloring book up on Amazon. I haven't done any marketing for them yet, as I wanted to get the other two journals done first. Then I'll finish up my non-fiction book, and I'll outsource a couple of things (now that I know what I suck at) or just don't enjoy as much as other tasks. Great videos!

I did my research, created 50 books in two niches, made sure the covers were amazing and eye-catching, ensured the titles would grab the audience, and priced them in the middle of the competition. Almost zero sales.

@@Yougotmestitched That's for 53 books and it's been about 5 months, so it seems VERY miniscule. What I see is that it is almost impossible to "be seen." When I compare my covers to others in the same niche/genre, they are FAR superior, and I use all the keyword tips, but still virtually no sales. I don't think the numbers are realistic at all, personally.

Nice video but kinda cut my wings off. Wanted to make a fiction book and sadly I am very skeptical that nobody buys those for some reason. A non fiction book is easier to identify as a book that somebody needs, but fiction books, I don't know, I've been going back and forth with these and I still can't decide. Meanwhile I am building my budget to outsource it but still.. there are times I feel discouraged and it will be my first ever high content book, which means it will be expensive enough to outsource compared to my other books. And if it fails, I think I'll be devastated, mostly because it cost a lot to make. The only thing that keeps me into this is that IF by any chance the book succeeds, I already know the next step and how to make series off of it..

What Henry says is quite impossible. So he's trying to tell everyone that for 9 years straight amazon didn't pay him every 60 days the royalties he had earned from his book? Also, in 2015 he thought $150/month earned organically is low? Assuming it was Henry's first book, and the learning curve is quite steep, he couldn't have done the best of best with that book, in my opinion. So that part is quite misleading the viewers.
