What if you could master anything 5x faster than everybody else?
This is called "meta learning" which is learning how to learn.
(My Spanish still sucks though lol)
Hope this is helpful!

Notes for y'all: Meta-Learning: Learning how to learn 1. Get Early Wins - Wins = Dopamine = Motivation = Practicing = Wins 2. Pick the right teacher - Not the best at what they do, but the best at teaching it. 3. Key Leverage Points - 80/20 rule. What can you do for the least time that will give you the most results in your learning? 4. Tighten Feedback Loop - Get feedback quickly and more often. Because feedback leads to improvement. 5. Have courage to get worse - We must do the things we are bad at, to strengthen them 6. Shift your identity (most important) - Improve your self-image, see yourself as capable of learning things.

1) Get Early Wins. - Produces a positive Feedback loop, causing you to do more of it. 2) Pick the Right Teachers or Strategies. - They can teach you the shortcut. 3) Find Key Leverage Points. - 20% things to learn to get 80% of output, find patterns and learn the most important stuff. 4) Tighten Feedback Loops. - Get feedback quickly. One meditating with feedback equipment/ppl over a month will meditate better than someone without. 5) Have Courage To Get Worse. - Many people revert back to what was working than continuing, failure to innovate in KZbin, etc. Therapy - gets worse before better so it’s not used often 6) Shift Your Identity. - Asian Women performed better in a Maths test when told they were Asian, rather than that they were Women.

Learn some new easy things fast, then make that your base to learn the processes that are a little more difficult. That is how a person learns their mother language, from birth. They don't master it at the start, they improve it.

Beautiful storytelling Leon, the whole video was inspiring. Learning a new language was something I've always wanted to try, but seemed too insurmountable of a task. The part about being afraid to innovate really hit home with me. Thank you for that reminder.

The funny parts of you learning spanish kept me hooked. Then the ending of the video hit home when you said people keep replaying ideas of them being failures and end up not doing anything. These kinds of videos with good storytelling that talk about deep issues help a lot.

Great video! My current thing to learn is to play ice hockey. I started skating last year, went to ice 5x times a week even tho I tripped every time, got some tips from everyone that I got to chat and improved fast. 2 weeks ago I played my first recreational ice hockey game with gear on. I was surely the worst but people never could have believed I started skating under a year ago. Now I practise 4 times a week and have different kind of drills and couple buddies to practise. Next goal is to score in the game and I hope I eventually get there. I totally agree with the points you made. Learning is a skill itself and you really have to get good at something first to become good at anything. Good luck to you all!

I have an exam next week and I needed this change of narrative in order to gain the confidence in order to perform well. Thanks a ton ❤

Back in school 7-10th I was told I should join the track team, I had no talent for running at all but I said alright. They put me in the mindset I can do as they saw how slow I was and extremely nice and supportive. They put me in the mindset of “you got this, look at the fastest man alive, you can get to that level!” I was in-golfed in the correct mindset which led me to becoming the fastest sprinter on the team in months with no talent because since the environment was so encouraging it feels like a multi buff on that stat your training. This video is true as when you have the correct mindset always and the correct people around you. Your able to get anything done very quickly, learning a language was a great example as literally put yourself into the environment that’s needed and have some good friends and you’ll learn it within months or a few years!😊

There are so many selfimprovement/interesting/good content channels out there. But I really like your over all. Why ? Becouse your videos are packed with humor, cut good, and always teach/add something to my life. You know, I'm something of a scientist myself =] But something to the video: Take point 1. and 5. Well 5 is really the key to even get started, with something you know you could be good at. But If you don't get 1. or you get like 3. quick and bad feedback, it might brake your wings early and you never get to fly.. So point 2. 3. 5. 6. is what you really need, and to push if you know your direction is right. Anyway, keep up the good work ! hit that one mill soon ! Cheers !

Great vid! Keep it up. You should always make videos that following the direction of where your interest lays. And l also do believe that gathering info on how to efficiently learn what you want to learn gets way faster good results and will inspire you to get actually good in something. Not many people can get through the tedious procedures without getting much result (results that way will get way later. Might be a better base, but most people will never see the end of it, which makes it pointless).

Hey Leon! I appreciate you trying out stuff and committing to the broader self development despite some challenges. As a feedback, I do enjoy these videos, but something feels different to your older videos that made you my favourite channel on youtube. I find it hard to grasp, but I have 2 ideas: 1 I first got hooked by those videos that felt extremely real, just you and your personal developmental experience. This feels a bit more like: I want to find good self development content, so I'm searching for something valuable and giving it to the audience; but it doesn't quite take me on your journey and convey deeper knowledge like the videos were you show more of yourself. 2 This is just an intuition, but I get the feeling that you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself to get it right. Sometimes, trying too much can nib away from the actual soul of the content. If you resonate with that, I'd recommend trying to follow your heart (what is is that you really really want to tell?) instead of your brain (what is it that is the right, good and valuable content?) Good luck on your journey!
