Being a shy person it’s always been difficult to start and carry on with conversations and so tend not to speak much especially in group situations or when I first meet people.These are very good pointers, I’ll try them. Thank you 👏🏾👏🏾

Dear Vivienne, I have been enjoying your wonderful clips for a while now and I have to congratulate on their content and variety. I think they are so important in order to present yourself successfully as a lady nowadays, personally and in a business surrounding. I have found myself discovering that I am already a lady and without blowing my own trumpet, this is another good reason to stay onboard. No one is perfect and I am most certainly looking forward to more excellence. My respect and greetings to you.

How to Master the Art of Conversation 1. Conversation Openers- Do not ask intrusive questions 2. Avoid Rambling. Contribute to a conversation wisely . 3. Don`t indulge in Gossip 4. Don`t get involved in contentious topics. e.g politics, sex talk. Engage in light-hearted topics 5. Use of Compliments: Don`t behave as though you are overly impressed. I truly agree. I am so grateful to be raised in a conservative and well disciplined family especially in femininity and grace, but when I moved to different country I was misinterpreted, and this circle of people that I considered friends took time for me to consider the way they are. I encountered very inappropriate questions during the first meeting and I must say they were taboo expressions that I couldn’t able to answer them nor handle and go along with the conversation. Sometimes, it’s good to have some adjustments on the environment where you are, because some women manner are not totally the same. Though I’m not totally convinced to put my level the way who they are, but to put into balance on how I portrait myself in a different situation and different type of people.

Very helpful information. I'm not one to talk alot in settings I'm not comfortable with. And even around those that I do know quite well, I still tend to be more of a listener. I try hard to speak things that are uplifting and encouraging. Thank you.

Miss Manners has been around for years etiquette books have been around for Years KZbin and Facebook haven't but the library always has oh, she's teaching the very basic but she is informing people which is great but everyone can't be a conversationalist and everyone is not knowledgeable enough or confident enough to strike up a conversation with strangers, it depends upon your upbringing your exposure to the world my money's people that have a conversation with anyone beat if I'm on a farm be found at the Preakness run from at the Opera I can turn to a stranger at any point time and we can have a conversation and when I meet children or kids like it's been stored I'm like hey how's school going and they'll tell me all about school and I'll tell them you're a great conversationalist because this is a skill that most people don't have because of their own insecurities because they just have never been outside their community and furthermore they don't read they have no clue what's going on in Ukraine they have no clue what's going on in the Senate they have no clue what's going on in their own area so when you are focusing just on your logs how you look how you present yourself and going to the gym and you're not doing the work on yourself the mental is spiritual the educational the nutrition and you stay stuck and trust me you're not alone so many people in the world function on this level did they miss out on the Delight and the beauty of the world that God has created

Name-dropping is definitely a turnoff. I saw someone I went to college with a few weeks ago and her appearance is one of an elegant lady. However, she proceeds to tell me that she knows one of my sorority sisters and my sorority sister is her employee. It turned me off because she was name-dropping, and she referred to my sorority sister as her employee, yet she reports/answers to someone above her. Thank you for bringing light to name-dropping!

Excellent video. The passion for your interests is really showing through. The name dropping part is one many of us must work on. It is not always clear to many that it comes across as pompous and a bit improper.

It’s not a bad thing to compliment a guy, if he looks good. If he does and you want to compliment him, go ahead. It doesn’t make you less a woman. It’s just a Sign of being proud if you think it’s wrong to compliment a guy.

It happens when even with the best efforts something I’ve said has been taken wrong or I’ve said something and realised too late it wasn’t right (I try my best not too) but how do you recover/ handle social blunders if they do happen?

Hi! Thank you for the advice and tips. The only thing I disagree with is when you suggest to "not compliment men". I agree not to over-compliment nor be "thirsty" but men are people who may sometimes struggle with confidence and/or being seen. I believe there must be a balance between exuding elegance/confidence vs. arrogance and/or self-centeredness by only expecting to receive compliments. If I like his beard or his dress shoes, I should be free to say that. What benefit are goodwill sentiments towards a person if you're not free to express them? Can you boost a person's confidence by hoarding the compliment?
@eunicetornyi554
@eunicetornyi554 2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with you @Meki... also complimenting people after they compliment is culturally accepted within my ethnic group... if it becomes noticed that you do not return compliments, you would be seen as arrogant and self conceited... aside this, it is a helpful video

A real man not only appreciate a conversation.. But we find it very sexy... Y'all don't know how beautiful it makes y'all look when y'all can hold a conversation.. Now I know many women been dog out by men to the point y'all don't want to hear anything any man has to say... But don't let those bad apples discourage you for wanting a good apple.... ✌️ 🙏 Keep up the good work sista... God bless

i have a question about the last point - is it necessary to apologize for not remembering someone´s name? doesn´t it look low self-esteem? because when i was researching assertive communication i learned that we should apologize only if we did something wrong, caused someone trouble or hurt someone" therefore i´d suggest to omit the apology and simply say "could you repeat your name, please?" / "i couldn´t quite make out your name, it was noisy, could you repeat it for me please?"
