Now this is epic. Just like having a real private teacher. Love it. The earlier you learn it, the better.

Thank goodness Brian listened to his body and heart. You have a gift man. Other than describing love, explaining the flight of a disc is the most difficult and worthwhile story telling for human beings.

The first five minutes: When I'm practicing anhyzer shots in the field I line up the footwork like you've described here, but just recognized I'm not making that adjustment on the tee pad...which makes for inconsistent drives on a couple of local holes. Taking the day off work and heading to the course for a practice round or two.

I was literally just talking to my friend about this a few hours ago and what do you know? This pops up. You're much better at explaining this than I am. Great video once again!

This is SO helpful. I need to go back and watch this several times. I see a few things that I really need to work on now that I have a better understanding. Thanks again for this great Series and addressing these two shot shapes. PERFECT explanation!! 😎

Brian, such a good teacher. Thanks for saving this for later because of the complexity of it. Master the fundamentals, then add shot shapes like this to improve and to gain ground.

In one of Cole Redalen’s videos he said the same exact thing (the path to take on the tee pad when throwing anhyzer) that you said! Must be true! 😁

As a lefty and backhand dominant player, I always use my backhand turnover/anyzer throw. At first it was difficult, but once I understand the disc needed and fundamentals to get this shot down, it gets easier. Great video!

I'm absolutely loving this series and my two favourite videos thus far are definitely this one and the "4 types of hyzers" one. So in these two videos you are talking about 6 different shot shapes (stock hyzer, push hyzer, stall hyzer, spyke hyzer, anhyzer and turnover). Is it possible that you would be willing to go even deeper on each of these different shot shapes? For instance talking about what different types of stabilities in discs do for each shot. Just a thought😀

I think one of the best things you can do is learn all of these shots on your own, + throwing every type of disc on these lines. It will teach you how you throw and how the disc will affect it.

As a LHBH only player trying to advance to the next plateau after gaining some good arm speed, this is exactly the medicine I need. So many form faults pointed out I know I do...Such a good video on the subject that makes me want to go to the soccer field rn to work on stuff. Would love to see this connected to shot choice for course management in another vid.

I was waiting for this video to come out! My go-to shot is a turnover with a sidewinder or heat but what Bryan said here is accurate. It's a shot where everything needs to be perfect or else its gonna be way off. Having watched this video I now see I need to regress back a bit and work on those other steps before relying on this shot as my default on most holes except headwinds. Thanks for the tips

Throwing the right discs makes a huge difference as well. Trying to flip something that's over stable is very hard compared to under stable discs. Throwing a 13 speed discs is going to require a lot more power and spin. Personally, an 11 speed under stable disc can get a flip and turn before going into the fade, and I don't have to absolutely rip the throw. A 9 speed I can give a nice easy flick and control it's flip really comfortably. Mid ranges even more so. Find the disc that wants to fly the way you throw. Kasterplast's Alva and Lots can be super flippy and fun to use.

Have you all considered showing a mirrored version of the video when Brian throws? He is an excellent teacher, but sometimes it is hard for righties to visualize in reverse.
