I've got a video on how to spend your gold, which might be what you are looking for. Though it is focused on standard, I don't think it changes much for wild because you really don't want to be buying wild packs over standard packs. Best to just get standard cards and craft what you need from wild.

When looking at wild filter, how can I tell if the cards are in standard too? I disenchanted a few standard ones before realizing

When you click on them to Disenchant, you can see which set they are from. Alternatively you can select the Wild sets one by one in the bottom left of the collection screen to see which cards you still have from those sets.

There is no benefit here, you don't get extra dust from cards rotating after 2 years in standard.
