Hi. Is it possible get real-time information about wind direction ans speed from drone
@DJISupportGlobal10 ай бұрын
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. If referring to the DJI Fly app, sorry but this is not supported. The DJI Fly App does not have wind speed and wind direction icons like the DJI Pilot 2 App, but the DJI Fly App does have wind warnings. Rest assured that we'll communicate it with the respective team for its potentials. Thank you.

Hello there! It would be really cool to have at least real time wind speed information at the drones level!

@@aaJanii You're feedback is very much welcome. We'll introduce it to the team for any potentials. Appreciate your time in bringing this forward.

eh, you already get wind velocity warnings with very light winds... and the advice to land the drone is a bit weird. If you fly in normal GPS mode, your craft can't handle that much wind indeed, but pushing it to Sport mode, it can handle very strond winds. I'm not sure I want to know how the drone is moving... mostly i know in high winds, if I see the props, and sometimes the landing legs in the frame :P It's handy to advice people how to fly with strong winds, instead of only stating 'land the drone' . 1 advice would be, if there is quite a bit of wind, always fly upwind first, so, if you have to fly back in a hurry, the drone will fly with the wind. 2 advice would be, high winds, always sports mode. I'm not quite sure what will happen if the drone stays in sports mode when the return home is activated (anyone?) .. 1 thing is for sure, the 'go high' option of the return home, will sometimes get you into trouble with high winds. 3 battery life, drastically drops in sports mode and high winds, in half. and... is not consistent!! 4 the gimbal will fail way before the drone starts to get into trouble... I fly the Phantom 4 PRO, and that one can take s load of wind, but... gimbal can't. You start to notice this first with 'jittering' in the camera, eventually the gimbal motors will stop, and your image will yank offbalance... you can correct this by turning the drone. 5 for good camera action in high wind, always fly with the camera 'off winds' . This way, the tilting of the drone protects / shields the camera :) 6 wind is never constant... You can fly in constant high wind 'normally', but the gusts will get you mostly into troubles. 7 know the direction of the wind... and plan your flight path accordingly 8 use carbon props, more stiffness, will fly more agressively, but, less 'flapping' of the props... I've flown dousan of actions now, still use the same props.. 9 ow, high wind, always start and land handheld, never on the ground!!! The drone will flip over, always!

Thank you this was very insightful, I hate how dji just covers their ass by just saying, "Land your drone" No further tips or things to consider. I liked 4 and 5 as I was just thinking about this last night. I didn't know the gimbal wouldn't be able to handle it but in the case you did have to fight a strong wind, I was considering the areo dynamics of the M2Z and thought it would probably cut through the wind better going backwards as the end of it is narrow vs the broad front brow and the whole gimbal area/knotch/pocket which is kind of a parachute area. Though going backwards is hard to see..

Not much tutorial on the subject line. Good info but has nothing to do with explaining how to measure wind. Available apps provide reliable information.

Thanks you DJI!

This feature has one draw back. As a pilot, this is backwards and can cause confusion in directional attitude. It would be fitting if the flight instruments represented actual ones for continuity sake. Attitude indicators bank in the opposite direction in a turn.

Ridiculous. On my mavic 2 the obstacle avoidance pops up incessantly in the wind until i stop the drone and shut it off internally. Why cant they fix this? DJI sucks.

Ok,,,,so the title of this tutorial is “how to measure wind speed “ during flight. So, how do you measure it? I know there is a wind warning. Seen it and flown in it successfully. The blue line on the attitude indicator doesn’t tell me much, except the direction the wind is blowing. Useless.
@JePeVePe6 жыл бұрын
just in case you didn't notice the wind on the ground haha... :P I'm mostly way to busy flying to look at all the gadgets on the screen... Only thing I really want to know is the battery life indicator, and perhaps the google maps to see where i am, and... the distance and height indicator.

@FntX-Video6 жыл бұрын
Die Drohne kann ~35km/h fliegen, das heißt sie kann Windstärken bis ~35 km/h ihre Position halten. Jeder m/s der darüber geht, lässt sie wegdriften.
