I don't have bunions, but do have long toes. I find that a wide fit doesn't often take account of this. I tried on a pair of 6EEE from a well known online brand catering to bigger woman, but the toe box was too short. I had to go up to size 7 and need inner soles to stop them flapping about. ☹
