I’ve been meditating to battle depression, is amazing to see your thoughts just present themselves, and letting them go, is not a easy task but when it works feels magical

I had to learn to be at peace with myself.! I went through two abusive marriages. I took self defense classes that helped discipline my mind as well as taught me to take care of myself. My youngest son, who was in the army , spars with me from time to time to help keep me activé and healthy.! I am almost 70 years old and I run after my two year old granddaughter and school my ,adhd 4 year old granddaughter.! Breathing techniques and posture have quite a bit to do with how we cope and handle life. Peace, love, and joy

That's exactly it. You just have to do it and trust. Trust the process. You change without even realising it. It's magical. I'm so much of a better human, for it. Gratitude.

There is a point during meditation when the meditator falls away. The only thing left is the meditation itself….. you can see there is no you! Just a beautiful peaceful Bliss in vast empty silence, what we are….

How to get to this moment?
@opulentElephant11 Жыл бұрын
@@galahaaadthis happens after you enter into Samadhi. First step is vipassana or translated to insight. You must first see the cyclical nature of your thoughts. Are you having a lot of angry thoughts come up? Are you always thinking of the same stuff? This realization will show you where suffering or letting go needs to happen in your life. Second step of meditation is to not get swept away in your thoughts. The thoughts will come but you don’t get lost in them. They don’t hijack your meditation. And then once you have controlled your mind then you can relax into meditative absorption. Peace and bliss is a merely a post byproduct of the cessation of the thoughts in the mind. You will feel at peace after because IN samadhi you have no attachment to thought. The space between each thought becomes elongated till the emptiness grows. I hope this explanation helps. 🙏 For now, focus on letting the thoughts drift by you instead of allowing them to take over and get swept up into the thoughts. Everything else will happen gradually. Don’t rush the process. And allow things to just come without expectation or frustration.

Meditation is anything that focuses you on one task. Sure actually sitting and quieting your mind with frequency or music is nice and definitely good for doing inner shadow work and clearing the mind. But working out, reading, writing, playing video games, walking, movies, etc doing the dishes anything can be meditating

That’s a variation of box-breathing. That’s not what mediation is. Focus on the breath is a tool to reach the state of meditation. Meditation is a state, not an act or something you do. Something you become. Not to be a dick, sorry if I give off the wrong impression. It’s just not about the breathing at all. Just being with your breath is enough, you don’t have to count or sit in any sort of position (although a straight back helps fight fatigue and injury, sloth and torpor)
