I... Reserve this technique for a "Bacon Emergency", but use a cast iron skillet (on the side burner of a grill outside) 99% of the time. However, it's legit, and WORKS. It's worth dialing in. Only change I do is: glass plate bottom. Paper plate over glass plate. Some paper towels above and below bacon, paper plate ON TOP. I've also done glass plate on bottom, bacon, paper towels and plates on top only and been happy with the result.

Wow it worked...the internet is such a wonderful thing I wanna say, my microwave is 700W and 1 minute and 20 seconds it started smelling burned so i stopped it and it was super cooked on the verge of being burned but it wasn't, it was super crispy and nice. I don't think I'm ever going to use a pan for bacon again. This is amazing

Who eats four slices of bacon? Lol I tossed about ten slices of bacon , the thick cut kind, in the convection oven 15 minutes. Straight crispy bacon every time... The kind where you can hold it on one end and it's straight like a pencil

i just did this with some breaded fried fish, it actually worked but i did it for too long, expecting it to take longer in my 700 watt microwave oven, and it actually turned into what i can only describe as a crispy fish jerky for some reason, the flavor was quite different than usual and i think it transferred from the paper i had in there, but overall i'm impressed because i didn't think the microwave could make things crispy/crunchy or burn things without catching on fire

Frozen bacon will thaw first, usually will take about 30 additional seconds for about 4 slices. I would recommend you add one extra paper towel so it absorbs the liquid. Enjoy!

The energy to wash that towel every day for my personal preference isn’t worth it. I use a bacon tray now and instantly wash it after use while it’s hot. I also camp and poor the grease into a jar and I can scoop some out and add to a paper cup for an insanely good fire starter if I need it

Once i got called out in life for cross contamination I always find it funny now seeing any video of someone touching raw meet like bacon or beef and not immediately showing washing hands before touching anything else like a warning......I'm NOT a germaphobe and I literally feel like Ive gotten enough cross contamination in my life to be immune. Ill cook burgers and bacon and eat all at a camp grill....I'm still here never gotten food poisoning
