As many years as I've watched this tutorial and I'm just now seeing how many time she's changed her shirt completing these twists. This brings me back to 11 years ago when I first completed mini twists and it took 3 days. GIRL!!!!

Did mini twist for the first time last week & I love them! Could of got them done in a day but didn't have the energy to do it :(. Word of advice to those who are pregnant and/or have medium/long hair, it's best to just pace yourself over a day or 2. It's worth it at the end.

I remember watching back then,couldn't make up my mind to stay natural,so I permed my hair again. I had an app with all of your hairstyles on it Whitney. I loved that every time you uploaded a new hair tutorial it be added automatically. When I had to buy a new phone because that phone caught a virus,I could no longer find that app.😦 My twins are about a year or two older,but they watched you and still do. Somehow although we lived in different places,we end up doing the same things. We started talking to each other about you and found out that the 3 of us were watching your channel. Lol it's kinda weird?, for lack of a better word, to see newer and some older naturals saying that mini twists are time consuming, because back when this was uploaded mini twist were the norm, kinda like when all the videos about curl definition were out and everybody was trying to figure out how to make their curls pop.

Thank you sooo much for uploading this, I just finished mini twisting my hair for the first time and I absolutely love it! I did it all in a day (I'm an extremist lmao) and took almost 12 hrs bc I have a whole lot of hair. At first I did them too big so I had to redo the front, but all of mine turned out slightly bigger than urs in the video and I feel so accomplished. I had so much determination to finish bc I saw how great urs turned out and I never gave up. ***** My hair is longer than it was before and taking down my hair only after 3 weeks is still a hassle. Mini braids let me swim, reset the style with a quick shower if i don't like a look, and I can take my style into the 5-6 week range and get the most out of it. Because of the fact that the breads can keep my hair in particular from getting notts and tangles I can deep condition or whatever and I can redo the style one at a time after a proper shampooing, moisturizing, and sealing. I can just slowly take my time going from the back to the frun redoing the style so that I can get an additional 5 weeks to were that look again. This is a link to the method i use cf.ly/3vYn but istead of leaving the bottom out I put everything in and instead of her pattern of brainging i braid starting with the fron because if i don't finish i can just draw my hair back and rock a beinie of a sorts if i haven't finished

you keep the pieces from blending with each other by keeping the pieces separate as you braid and as you reach the end you can smooth each end one at a time before finishing.

This is my current style. It is very nice. I usually keep them in for four to six weeks. I love the low maintenance of the style and my hair is very health. It takes me about six hours to do it.

I just finished mine!!! I really like them and this was my first time....I did it in less than a day.....it only took me a few hours and I even went to a 3 hour class with only the first front section done. I love how I'm driving and they just blow in the wind, lol. I'm definitely doing this more often! my hair is really...really thick and it's middle bra strap length when straightened....ladies.....try it. You'll LOVE it!

I'm sorry I'm replying to your question so late. But anyway like I said you can still do mini-twists whether you're transitioning or relaxed. I used to put mini-twists in my hair all the time before I went natural. I never needed rubber bands at the ends either. So I guess whether the style holds depends on the person's hair type.

@JenniferAndGaryB u and me both girl! i flat iron twice a month and have heat damages ends... i use perm rods on my ends when i do a twist out. i would suggest the same for flat twists. maybe do a bunch of like 10 (just guessing) bobby pin them up one by one then when u get to ten roll them with the perm rods. hope it helps!

you really do have a lot of patience! i wear my hair in twists as well but my hair is shorter and not as thick. The longest is takes me is 3 hours, but I like that yours are all the same size. I dont worry too much about mine being the same. I will try the mini ones next time. So you dont ever retwist them to not get knotted or anything? I only keep mine in for like a week or so if I dont redo them

It took me 7 days, two to three hours a day to put these in. I was tired and upset, BUT they came out soooo beautiful. But it was hard work, I had a bucket of shea butter, a spray bottle of water, and a jar of flaxseed gel the whole time. I kept them in for six weeks, Naptural85, your maintenance videos were awesome, Im not sure they would have looked as good without them. It took me 10 hours to take them down, one by one on my own. Highly recommend this hairstyle. I have bra strap length hair
