This worked great for redoing the shower/bathtub of my kid's bathroom. kzbin.infoUgkxfiuHoZJo3bgdVPFRxQ-iqPpfbEHl2cYt I didn't like the guide, so I took it off. I just used a fine tipped sharpie on the tile and followed that line. It does make a wet mess, and once I started looking like I wet myself I started wearing a towel and apron while cutting. The blade it came with worked great until we wore it out. It was better than the replacement one we bought. I tried looking for just their blade, but failed. Not really for larger tiles unless you stack stuff on either side to support the tiles. Anyway, would definitley buy again.

Really beautiful work. Not many people understand how difficult it is to get a niche to line up on a tile line in the wall. Definitely lots of math there. I’m a career remodeler who does a lot of tile and continually have to have discussions with general contractors who don’t understand tile. They almost never have the framing anywhere near straight enough and tell me to just “float” the tile over the bad areas. I actually had one tell me to stuff some folded up cardboard behind the tile. Once again, beautiful layout and execution.

Thanks for the tip, man! I introduced mitered outside corners to the builder I’m working for, and he loved it so much, that I’m mitering all outside corners (for a small fee). I also use 100 and 200 polishing pads to get a tighter miter. I was thinking about mixing some counter top epoxy to fill the gap between two mitered tiles, and make the miter more seamless. What do you think of that?

Recently finished tiling my kitchen. Mitred the tiles on external corners, had problems with my wet saw chipping the porcelain tiles more than expected, but was able to polish the chips out with a diamond pad. Inspecting my mid price range diamond saw blade with a magnifier, the diamonds are as much on the sides of the blade as on the edge. Don't know if this is normal.
