i kinda mix my vocals as i record them just so its kinda gives me refrence of what it would roughly sound like (final product kinda)....is this good practice?.....i record on a clean track then drop it down to my processed track to hear a kinda finished product, just so i know its sounds good in the mix and sounds the part??

Well I mean no such good, or bad I mean. I record with plugin all the time now actually. 1. As you said give you the sense of how it sound in mix ready. 2. Save me time for mix. 3. I can adjust my vocal while recording to fit the fx that I put. So, I mean I dont seem there a problem. But the is 1 point I wanna mention is like, you should understand the process, and knowing the vocal, so that all this preset fx that you do for recording before mix it make sense.

I usually come up with my best mixes when I do this. But, in the times that I don’t, I get so frustrated trying to make it sound good that I just start from scratch after wasting two weeks lol

@@mattbarachko5298 yup my mixes are getting better and I still do this routine when recording vocals. I'll do like a whole verse, then half process it like eq, compression reverb etc... That way I'm not wasting my time on a full performance and come mixing time and it sounds like poo lol... Mix as you go now and apparently it's a common practice. But it's also not everyones preferred way. To each there own

Melda MSpectralDynamics and MSpectralDynamics LE are powerful and more affordable. Tone Boosters Sibalance 3 is free, but is for treating high frequencies only.

BTW, Though TB Sibalance 3 is a spectral deesser, if you solo the delta and invert the polarity it becomes a high frequency spectral enhanceer for a send channel. Because there is a built in Mid-Side emphasis control, its useful for busses.

How can anybody discern clarity when listening to a ridiculous non musical sound that isn’t generated by a musical instrument? Why don’t you use a track of actual musical sounds? I love your videos but what kind of ridiculous sounds are those?

I am not saying you are wrong but he literally simplified it by using all this processing in a simple track. Yes it sucks but i would rather learn from it and use all this process in my organic tracks.. i think you should do that too instead of complaining.. #Nohate
