I like this, I think that the side chain compressor should be your first tool when workin with bass and kick because the kick usually doesn't take up too much time in the mix and you don't want to preeminently alter the sound, but this same logic would work for a lot of other instruments, so very cool.

yes sometimes the equaliser should be put also at the end of a chain cause other devices modify the signal flow of a sound therefore is good to control those modified frequencies at the end of the chain

how can i still get some sub frequencies after cleaning up the eq

You still can get them cause you’re not doing a total cut of those frequencies but just lowering them

the difference is subtle but is noticeable, its also important to listen to this video with good quality headphones or studio monitor speakers to notice the frequency change.

I liked it up until the sidechain comp got it. The comp changed the tone of the bass a lot.
