One word: WOW. I watched these videos when you released them as usual, but I didn’t try this technique straight away. I just tried it today and man, what a sick and amazing change it made to my song. I’m honestly shocked. Thank you so much for teaching us so many things, my music has improved so much thanks to you. I can’t thank you enough

To be honest, your tutorials are better than the paid one I bought years ago. My financial right now kinda f*ck up because of COVID but one of these days I might buy your sample pack because you deserve all the supports! Have a great day, Big Z!

I never realized how good the plugin presets were. I been learning by just experimenting. But these presets are good places to start. I know such a noob comment lol but things are starting to click. Also, from a referencing standpoint people always talk about getting a reference track but you show exactly how to utilize it detail by detail. Splitting up the frequency spectrum like this is a gold tip.

hey, i think it would be really useful if you made a video showing a kind of arrangement checklist. Meaning, we get so much mixing advice on KZbin but I'm starting to realize more that the arrangement is even more important than the mix, if you could show like making sure all frequencies are covered, creating space and fullness basically everything you need to get right in the production to be able to then get a killer mix

Best music production channel on the internet. Curious to know what the benefit of using R Compressor on vocal chops is vs just Pro C, 1176/LA2A emulation, R Vox, etc. Is it just that the specific preset you picked is well dialed in?

why didn't you try to level match the reference track when you were comparing? I like to put a +6db gain plugin on my master, then I know as long as i'm not clipping, i'll have 6db of room to play with once I take off the gain plugin.

Yo man! I have learned so so so so much from your videos. I know you have done a vid similar to this before but how do you balance making sounds sound good in the mix with reverb and not over do the reverb on your project? I tend to make really dance music like POP or Future bass/house and I think the mixes sound good but I feel like my reverbs on all my channels tend to crowd up my mix. Would love your thoughts on how you avoid this issue? Its so easy to just throw reverb on something

Big Z, quick question - why didn't you eq out the low frequencies when mixing the vocal chops/synths. For example at 3:41 there are a lot of low freq that would clash with the kick and bass right? Does anyone know
