Great info! Your succulent mix however consists of 10% top soil, 40% compost, 25% moss, and 25% perlite for a 100% total. You mixed half of each therefore you split the original portions in half.

I used a mix of sand and potting soil. Trying to simulate what they find in their natural desert enviornments.
@MariasgardenGarden2 жыл бұрын
Hi my friend if that works for very nice, but I don’t recommend that, the reason is our plants eat like us they need nutrients like we do to grow and be healthy, since it is available here why not use it, like coconut coir, peat moss, pine mulch or bark, compost, wood dust, create a compost barrel with waste from your own yard, if this product where not available, I will be created and find stuff the will help me plants, sun is very good for drainage and potting soil ok but make sure it’s 100% natural with any artificial insects or fertilizer. we’re very blessed to live in this country we have many things available to care for plants,trees, the main thing is natural ingredients, hope you a very nice week thank you for your suggestions, this is how we old Lear to care for are plants helping each other. Everyday I learn something, about plants needs 🐞🐞

@@MariasgardenGarden thanks for your reply and for your wealth of video tips. I live in the middle east, these plants are found naturally in the desert here and grow in sand. They are doing well for me. Our temperatures are 125 degrees in the summers. So the conditions for the deserts roses are not the same here as you have in the USA.

@DjhulianBRuy6 жыл бұрын
Nice videos Maria. It really interesting how Adeniums are spreading accross the globe. They so nice and interesting. I'm having a good results using 3 in 1 soil mixture: 1 part of crushed pine bark (small as possible), 1 part of crushed charcoal and 1 part of rich soil. I also added a small part of manure and osmocote. My Adeniums are growing really nice here in Brazil. I also fertilize them once a week with FORTH Flores.

Maria, I've recently subscribed and I've been binge watching ever since. I'm trying to develop a green thumb, mostly for succulents but your videos have made me fall in love with the desert roses. I just seen a new video where you talk about why you changed your soil for desert roses...but I can't find a video showing what you changed it to. I was going today to get soil for a desert rose, snake plants, and some succulents. What are your current recommendations for these?

@@MariasgardenGarden I ended up finding the video, it was titled how you send your roses which threw me off lol. I've got the desert rose washed off and setting out as you've told us to do. My grandmother has one that's not doing well...I've only seen it bloom once, it's still very small. Watching your videos made me connect that that's what kind of plant it is. I told her I'm taking it home to try to save it for her💞
