@@bsteve3981 this definitely depends on the song, but I typically like to keep my vocals at a level that's very close to the kick/snare! This typically works in most cases, but if you're working with a 2 track instrumental (and the beat isn't mixed great 😬😂), you can use this technique as a starting point and adjust accordingly. How did you get the beat so full but not clashing with the vocals?

I honestly didn't do much to the instrumental. I just did a 2-3db mid side EQ dip around 700hz. If all I have is a 2 track, I typically just have to work with what I got (which in this case, turned out ok!).
