Being able to smoothly move from one genre to another is a critical skill for social dance DJs. For example at a Latin mix social dance event you may play 3 bachata tracks, 3 salsa tracks, 3 Brazilian zouk tracks, and repeat. Knowing how to transition between these styles of music in an interesting manner is a very handy skill in this world.
@PopSyckillPete4 жыл бұрын
This takes the cake. Transitions can always be a pain in the a$$. This is a perfect example of fully utilizing the tools you have to make it work for you. Carlo you prove that you need to embrace the application you use and truly know the ins and outs. Videos like these truly show that you can never know it all as I'm learning new tricks each and every post. Respect

@@ThisPageIntentionallyLeftBlank Just wondering what environmental walls you live in..... “no boomer DJs” WTF? Just to list them would take days... David Guetta, Carl Cox, Fat Boy Slim, even Daft Punk are both in their 40s. Some of the pioneers of mixing (1960s & early 70s) are still hanging and spinning in their 70s and 80s, probably not at massive but still. To not recognize the talent and artistry of the real founders of artist revolutions like Turntablism is to stunt your own knowledge of the very thing you aspire to. BOOM

Hey, what up DJ Atendido, quick question my friend. Can the Pioneer DDJ-400 be used without a computer? Cause I personally dont have one as of yet, & really prefer vinyl, & have been learning & practicing skratching, with strictly vinyl, & would like to start practicing mixing honestly, buy have been stubborn about sticking to vinyl, & not depending on computer technology. But, it still seems really fun, & portable, & you've been piling up ideas in my head with all these great tutorial videos homie... Lol... Bahahahaha... But also, can I hook up my OMNI Portable Turntable, or my Reloop Spin Portable Turntable, to the DDJ-400, & use my portables for scratching, & then use the controller for the mixing?? Thanx bud, im guessing that I mite have to go to something with 3-4 channels, right?? Lol... I kinda thought so, but figured you would definitely know for sure my man. What about any of the Roland models? Like the 508, or the 708, or even the 808 Controller? Just trying to figure this out, where I've spent the last 6-7 months, collecting both Oldschool Hip Hop vinyl, & also Skratch vinyl, like Dirtstyle, & skratch vinyl related to that. So, part of me wants to simply scoop up another turntable, to start mixing, with my other Turntable, & Pioneer DJM-250-MK2 mixer, vinyl, & simple hand manipulation. But, then I've got my portables all modded out, & wanted to know if that was also an option my friend, with the portables, & the DDJ-400, or next size up?? Lol... Bahahahaha... Cool man, thanx a bunch. Great video, your always appreciated homeslice....Respex,Big Upz, & Mad Love to DJ Atendido...... 🔥💯👍💪🙏🎶🌎
