Hi Carlo, great video ! I have something to ask you: "How can we be `amateur DJs` just using Spotify songs ? " I really dont wanna have to pay another music subscription just to play a little bit for my family. You know, I've been listening to DJ Jazzy Jeff's live sets during the pandemic. And the more I listen to him, the more I notice it's more about the music and less about "DJ tricks". I get that everyone has their own style, and folks like the DJ's mentioned at the start of the video cater to a different crowd that DJ JJ, but what Jeff does best is track selection and energy flow. If you nail that, then the "tricks" become less important.
@Marlonhernandez198283 жыл бұрын
Jazzy Jeff’s transitions are not that great. He just echoes out and drops it. Not smooth. He’s too hyped up. There’s a lot of djs better than him. I fall asleep listening to his sets.

As an alternative to slipmode could you not just load the same track into the 2nd deck and then use that for any scratching, beat juggling, looping vocals etc ( without affecting the positioning of the track playing). In the same way that you’d juggle or play around with 2 vinyls of the same track.
